The Lions are roaring!! After 3 consecutive loses, they have turned a corner and picked up two Ws on a trot. This one is a comprehensive victory over ACCB, who were previously undefeated in the series.

Lankan Lions seemed eager and hungry to win from the offset. Their fielders dived around saving runs. The spinners bowled particularly well and with decent support from the seam bowlers they were able to restrict an in-form batting line up to a mediocre score of 103.

With the bat, they hit the ground running. Jayasuriya played a captain's knock and was ably supported by Ubesekara at the top of the order. At one point, they even seemed poised to clinch a bonus point. But some good bowling and fielding from ACCB prevented it.
