Weather condition looks absolutely fine. The breeze of 12kmph flowing towards the ocean and hitting towards the longer side of the boundary is a problem,. Talking about the dimensions it's 67m to my right and 58m on the other side. 70m down the ground. This is a pitch that I love to bat. We see few cracks but it looks hard and the bowlers have to be careful with their line and length. The wrist spinners might get some assistance but I don't think there is anything for the finger spinners. We are going to witness plenty of runs and the side that win the toss should bat first

That brings us to the end of our coverage for this super eight contest. A thoroughly resounding all round performance from the Men in Blue and Afghanistan will need to address their problems and come back stronger in their next game against Australia. For India, they will now head to Antigua for their clash against Bangladesh. The Men in Blue will be extremely confident going forward having all their bases covered. Rohit Sharma (India captain): Look the last two years we have come here and played some T20 cricket. So we knew the conditions and based our gameplan according to that. It was a great effort from the batters to get 181 and then obviously we knew about the class off our bowlers. Absolutely everyone coming up and doing the job is critical for us. Each one if they can play their role. Surya and Hardik's partnership was very crucial for us. They batted deep and took us to that score. We know what Bumrah can do for us. It's important for us to use him smartly. He is the one who is ready to take the responsibilities as it is not easy for a strike bowler to hold him back. He is happy to bowl at any stage. Nothing as such, analysing the conditions and depending on how the opposition. We are open to changing the team according to the conditions.

Rashid Khan (Afghanistan captain): Well I think the pitch was good enough to score 160-170. It's about going there and how you play. At the top order it becomes a bit difficult against the better teams. Body is going well now. I am back hitting the right areas consistently but it's the result of the match which matters. We have enjoyed everywhere we have played. You just rely on your skills and own self on how to deliver. More importantly how you are gonna play on the conditions whether it's batting or bowling friendly.

It turned out to be a rather straightforward win for the No 1 T20I team as India started their T20 World Cup campaign with a resounding win against Afghanistan and they have put one feet into the semi final qualification with a massive win. The target of 182 was ways going to be a massive one for Afghanistan given the track wasn't a belter under any stress of imagination.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz had a new opening partner in Hazratullah Zazai and the duo came out with a positive approach. Gurbaz in particular came dancing down the track and clobbered a four and a six to get going. However he was deceived very next over by Jasprit Bumrah with a slower delivery and Gurbaz went chasing that. Arshdeep Singh after conceding a couple of boundaries in the first over came back nicely as the game progressed.

Axar Patel was introduced as early as the 4th over and he didn't disappoint, getting the prized wicket of Ibrahim Zadran and also bowled a wicket maiden. Bumrah took the wicket of Hazratullah Zazai with a brilliant slower delivery and ended up getting a leading edge. At 23/3, things were looking pretty bleak for the Afghans and that is when Azmatullah Omarzai and Gulbadin Naib shared a 44-run stand to steady the ship.

However the acceleration didn't came at any stage of the innings. They never really recovered and took the run rate up to threaten India. Kuldeep Yadav got into the wicket column sending back Naib with a tossed up wrong un. Ravindra Jadeja also picked up his maiden wicket of the completion when Omarzai played a false shot straight down the throat of the long off fielder. Jasprit Bumrah continued to weave his magic on his second spell, bagging the wicket of Najibullah Zadran.

Wickets kept tumbling at regular intervals and eventually they were bowled out for 134 on the final delivery of the match. Noor Ahmad smacked a four and a six to take the score over 130 but it was never going to be enough to even get Afghanistan close to the target. Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh bagged three wickets each while Kuldeep chipped in with a couple as well.

Suryakumar Yadav (Player of the Match) - I think there is a lot of hard work and practice behind it. When I go out, I know what I have to do at the back of my mind. I won't mind giving it to a bowler in a match like this but pleased to get the Man of the Match. Hopefully, it's a first of many.. (On what he told to Rashid) I told that it's very hard to pick him. He's the best bowler in the world and you should not allow him to dominate. What a team requires on the given day, just play accordingly. I still remember, when Hardik came, I told him, let's just play with the same intent. We know it's going to get hard when the ball gets old

Afghanistan has been bowled out for 134 runs as India maintains their unbeaten record joining Australia and South Africa as the two other unbeaten teams. A very clinical performance in all three departments of the game and they should feel very confident going into their next game against Australia. Handshakes all around as India starts their super eight campaign with a resounding win. They were playing their first game in the Caribbean and have managed to win it convincingly. The Indian team will now move to Antigua for their second super eight game against Bangladesh which is slated to be played on June 22.
