That is all from this contest as I, Lavil Saldanha and my colleague, Rudransh take your leave. Do check Sportskeeda for the latest in the world of sports. Till then, SEE YA!
Josh Inglis (captain, Australia): It was enough in the end, Shorty and Jake started really well. It was tough through the middle and I though we were there and thereabout. There are so many options in the team and I am really happy for him (Spencer Johnson) as well. I think at times in the summer so far they have played really well. Quick turnaround, will reach there tomorrow and have a look at the wicket. I was thinking more about captaincy than the keeping and will have to learn more as things go on.
Mohammad Rizwan (captain, Pakistan): Haris Rauf bowled well, Usman and Irfan Khan played fine knocks. If you look at it, the dropped catches cost us. Australia is not an easy side and the pitch was also not easy to bat, hence the catches were crucial. He (Rauf) loves Australia, he gets good bounce and pace as well. I am preparing myself to do what the situations and conditions demand
Spencer Johnson is the Player of the Match, here's what he has to say: It's an opportunity that I don't take lightly. You never know when it's your last game for Australia. Whatever chances I get are a bonus and hopefully I can play a couple more. Different bowling unit than what people are used to with Australia. Hopefully we did well enough. We used the conditions well. I didn't get it right in the first over but the communication we had between us three pacers was really good and helped us get over the line.
Adam Zampa: Definitely, it's a great night to be here at the SCG. One of the best places to be in. One of the best crowds too. Great to win the series after the ODI disappointment. A lot of games here feel like away ones because of the crowd but it's great. We saw that the ball started playing funny after the powerplay. We saw what they did and tried to replicate it. Not the ideal start but Xavier and Johnson brought us back. Johnson balls it fast, great to have him fit. It might come out (blue hair color) I don't know. It brings energy to the dressing room. I had my hoodie on and unveiled it in the dressing room. It's good fun. We don't feel like a 'B' team here. These are all good BBL players who love to play for Australia. Great to have them out there.
10:50 pm local time, 5:20 pm IST: Australia beat Pakistan by 13 runs and take a series lead of 2-0 in the three-match T20I series
A fine game of T20 cricket. Both teams had their moments in this contest but in the end, it was the team that managed to make the most of the opportunity on offer. An absolute humdinger, which ends in the favour of Australia and such a pity that we couldn't have two winners in the contest.
148 was expected to be an easy chase but all those thoughts and myths were put to rest when Pakistan lost early wickets. Babar Azam and Sahibzada Farhan departed cheaply, while Rizwan spent some time in the middle but never got going. Pakistan were in real trouble at the halfway mark but then managed to get back on track with Usman Khan scoring his first T20I half-century.
But the fortunes of Pakistan would dwindle as they lost wickets at regular basis. Only Irfan Khan stayed in the end and made a fist of the contest despite having only one wicket in the bank. He was up against Nathan Ellis, who had his tail up and failed to chase the total down as Pakistan were bowled out for 134 and ceded the T20I series to Australia.
Australia will thank Spencer Johson, who managed to pick up his best figures in this format and scalp five wickets. Xavier Bartlett and Adam Zampa also aided Johnson, with Zampa picking up two wickets in his spell. Nathan Ellis bowled a fine last over, while Marcus Stoinis held his nerve and bowled a good penultimate over.
19.4 Nathan Ellis to Irfan Khan, RUN OUT! And that's done for this match. Australia take the series 2-0! It's a full toss wide outside off, Irfan pulls it to long on and calls for two. Rauf comes back but Irfan doesn't and both end up at the non-striker's end when Inglis collects the accurate throw from long on to clip the bails at the striker's end.
Haris Rauf run out (Tim David/Josh Inglis) 2 (3b, 0x4, 0x6)
19.3 Nathan Ellis to Irfan Khan, full and wide, quite slow. Irfan tries to sweep but gets it straight to deep square leg. No single again.
19.2 Nathan Ellis to Irfan Khan, stunning yorker outside off, jams it out and turns down the single
19.1 Nathan Ellis to Haris Rauf, length outside off, Rauf runs it off the outside edge to deep fine for a single. Funnily, he wanted a second but Irfan said no
A good end to the over for Pakistan and we have some drama on our hands. Pakistan need 16 runs to win in the last 6 balls! Nathan Ellis [3-0-28-0] to bowl the final over

18.6 Marcus Stoinis to Irfan Khan, FOUR! Full and down the leg, too easy to clip it. The wristy work puts enough timing on it to bisect deep fine and deep square!
18.5 Marcus Stoinis to Haris Rauf, short just outside off, gets an inside edge to deep mid-wicket for a single
18.4 Marcus Stoinis to Haris Rauf, on a length on middle and leg, tries to tap and run but ends up hitting it to the fielder
Haris Rauf, RHB, is the last Pakistani batter in the middle and will be on strike to face his first delivery
18.3 Marcus Stoinis to Irfan Khan, RUN OUT CHANCE? And this could be a silly one. It is! Muqeeem goes! Length on middle and leg, hacked to deep square leg. They take one and Muqeem comes out for a second before being sent back. The throw is brilliant and Inglis does the rest, catching a diving Muqeem short.
Sufiyan Muqeem run out (Matthew Short/Josh Inglis) 0(1b,0x4,0x6)
18.2 Marcus Stoinis to Irfan Khan, that's a big bouncer and goes over the batter's head. Not given wide and the crowd isn't happy.
18.1 Marcus Stoinis to Irfan Khan, short and wide, cuts it over the in-field for a couple
Marcus Stoinis [2-0-19-0] comes back into the attack and will be bowling to Irfan Khan on strike
