New heroes have been unearthed. New starts rise from nothing. This USA side have done themselves proud and could go on to do something unimaginable. It's not a dream, cricket fans in the US. Pinch yourselves and accept the reality, your side is currently topping the group which consists of giants of the game like India and Pakistan. The USA team is now in pole position to qualify for the super eights and script their name in the folklore of USA cricket. Well, that's all from us in this contest. Monank Patel (USA captain): Winning the toss, the way we bowled in the first six overs, we kept them quiet and took wickets in the powerplay. We continued the same intensity throughout, knew they'll take chances against us. Shadab and Babar batted well, I felt 160 on this track was gettable. We knew the partnerships, me and Gous did that at the start and batted till the 12th over. Playing in the World Cup, you don't know get chance all the time and playing against Pakistan, we needed to be full committed every single. It was a team effort!

Babar Azam (Pakistan captain): First six overs, we couldn't capitalise. After that we picked up momentum, but lost wickets in flurry which was a set back and also couldn't put up partnerships at crucial junctures. We weren't up to the mark in the first six overs with the ball. We tried to come back, but we couldn't' finish. We will try in the next matches. All credit to USA team, they played well in all three departments. Little moisture was there on the pitch at the start, the ball wasn't coming on that easily and our batters couldn't asses the conditions as well.

Monank Patel is the Player of the Match! Here's what he has to say: It's a big achievement, beating Pakistan and playing for the first time. It was complete team effort from ball, we bowled well in the first innings and utilized the conditions, credit to the bowlers who kept them to 160. Happy for the contribution, more happy because we've won the game. The plan was to have a big partnership. Me and Gous did that, took the game deep. The plan was to play proper cricketing shots, Gous took the pressure off me and allowed me to play my game. Happy to take the two points. As a batter, you want to show up on big occasion, plan was to score in a winning cause.

The city of Dallas would have been eagerly anticipating their NBA Finals encounter against the Boston Celtics that takes place later today. However, the few who made their way out to the stadium will never forget this day as their country scripts history in their first ever T20 World Cup. This lot dared to dream and they even went a step further, managing to achieve it.

They started off in this run chase like they meant business with their captain leading from the front. Monank Patel's half-century set the tone for the side with Gous showing his experience and carrying the run chase forward. However, Pakistan managed to roar back into the contest and made a game of it, turning the tide in the most typical way possible.

The likes of Shaheen, Haris, Amir and Naseem would fancy defending the kind of target their team set for USA, but the hosts had other plans. It was erratic, inconsistent and simply not up to the mark from the Men in Green, who were well short in all aspects of the game. And in the end they, paid the price for it.

The hero of the last game, Aaron Jones hung around alongside Nitish Kumar to make sure the USA hit a boundary of the final ball to force a super over. That was a lifeline of sorts for Pakistan but they failed to make it count and continued to be erratic.

Cricket might gives you a chance sometimes, but it'll rarely give you two chances. Pakistan learned that the hard way today and fell well short, almost gifting the game to USA. Let that take nothing away from Monank Patel and his men though. With two wins in two games, they've done themselves and their nation proud. Their dream of making it to the super eight seems like it could very well be a reality. There's plenty to unravel in this contest, so stick around for the post match presentation.

Nitish Kumar, that is sensational. He couldn't quite get the job done with bat in hand but he made sure he left nothing to chance on that occasion. The third umpire is checking if this is a clean catch though. Did he have his fingers underneath the ball? One angle might suggest he didn't, so it will be difficult for the third umpire to make a call without conclusive evidence. The big screen displays "OUT" and it's greeted with roars from around the ground. USA are on the brink of history!

0.3 Saurabh Netravalkar to Iftikhar Ahmed, OUT! BLINDER AT LONG-OFF! Terrific catch that from Milind Kumar, comes diving forward as it was dipping and he clings on to it. Low full toss outside the off-stump, Iftikhar gets underneath that, but doesn't have enough power.

Umpire take this upstairs to confirm if it was a clean catch. Nitish surely had his hands underneath that and the umpire signals it as OUT on the big screen. Huge blow for Pakistan!
