Thanks a lot for joining us here at Sportskeeda for this enthralling game of cricket from the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Dhaka! We hope you enjoyed this game as much as we did bringing it to you. Until next time, ciao and take care!
Alyssa Healy (Australia Women captain): It was good to see all our players get and make the most of their opportunities. We are looking at a lot of new combinations and balances. With the World Cup coming up, you never know how things are going to be injury-wise or form-wise. So, we were just trying to look at something new. I think all that's needed now is for us to give Phoebe Litchfield some confidence and remind her that she is good enough to be here.
Goergia Wareham is the Player of the Match! Let's hear from her.
Georgia Wareham: Trying to be that leg-spinning all-rounder in the team by making the most of the opportunities. I was told about batting higher up the order before the start of the series and was ready for it today. Good to get games in this part of the world in these pitches, hope to continue making the most of these chances. Great in a way that the Victorian girls are coming back so well after injury, Sophie Molineux and Tayla Vlaeminck included!
Nigar Sultana (Bangladesh Women captain): We wanted to see how the pitch played early on and they batted really well on the track in the first 10 overs. We definitely pulled things back in the back 10, but then, needed more partnerships of substance with the bat. Fariha Islam is coming back after a long time, she is young and is highly promising, let's hope her bowling form only gets better. Dilara Akter is a fine player. We want to test out her talent at the top of the order and that is because we believe that she can do well up there. Yes, we have lost the series but then, this is a great learning curve for us.
Despite a good start with the bat, Bangladesh fell apart and ended up losing this game to Australia by a massive margin. Australia made the choice of bringing their spinners on early in this game, and this reaped them good rewards.
For this decision of hers, skipper and wicketkeeper Alyssa Healy has to be given credit. The pacers of Australia, Megan Schutt and Ellyse Perry were treated harshly by the Bangladeshi top-order batters, and that was when Healy called her spinners into the attack.
Bangladesh will want to forget this game in a hurry even though their bowlers did extremely well to set this game up for their batters, who failed big time. Australia, however, have now taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in this T20I Series and will go into the third T20I with a lot of confidence.
Bangladesh get to 100 after all!

19.6 Megan Schutt to Rabeya Khan, FOUR RUNS! BUT IT DOES NOT MATTER! VICTORY TO AUSTRALIA ONCE AGAIN IN THIS SERIES! Yorker around off-stump. Rabeya went for the almighty slog from the front foot and got a little bottom edge on it to beat the keeper and pick up a boundary behind the wicket!
19.5 Megan Schutt to Fariha Islam, length ball around off-stump with pace taken off. Lofted off the top edge to the long-off area for a single only!
Fariha Islam, RHB, is the last batter for Bangladesh.
Healy does extremely well behind the stumps to help Schutt bag the ninth Bangladeshi wicket!
19.4 Megan Schutt to Marufa Akter, STUMPED! Good length ball on middle-and-leg. Marufa went for the big shot over mid-on by leaving her crease and missed it altogether. Healy made absolutely sure that she did the rest with distinction while the batter was out of the crease!
19.3 Megan Schutt to Rabeya Khan, length ball around off-stump. Knocked down to wide long-on from the crease for a single.
19.2 Megan Schutt to Rabeya Khan, good length slower ball around off-stump. Sweep-slog attempted from that line and it almost got caught at deep square thanks to some attacking fielding there! Two runs taken however.
19.1 Megan Schutt to Marufa Akter, over the wicket, full around off-stump. Driven firmly down to long-off from the crease for a single.
Megan Schutt will bowl the final over.
This game is all but over. Bangladesh need 68 runs to win this game, which seems highly unlikely. Australia are just one over away from going 2-0 up.
