I think that as a bowler, you have to think outside the box now more than before. Batters are always attacking, so we need to come up different plans. I've played for long enough, so guys may figure out what I'm about, so, it's about finding new balls or different balls to make my case as a bowler. It's a new set of players here, but the atmosphere has been fantastic. Forming relations with those you haven't played before goes down really well with me!"

Tristan Stubbs (Delhi Capitals) says: "It looked a little bit slow. It looked like it was spinning all day. The cutters were working. It did not look easy to bat on. We kept it simple. In the field, we kept the good fielders in the hot spot. We constantly talked about conserving energy. It was hot out there. Faf batted really well. The new guys coming in did well from the other end too. I am trying my best to tap into Kevin Pietersen's experience. I keep asking him questions."

Pat Cummins (Sunrisers Hyderabad): "Couldn't get going. Aniket gave us a score. But we lost wickets up top. Not all due to bad shots. A runout and a few catches on the fence. It happens. On another day, you get a shot or two going and suddenly you are into your innings. Coming into the tournament, not everyone knew Aniket but everyone was impressed. The young freedom you see. Even when we lost a wicket, he was not afraid to hit the next ball for a six. Maybe one or two things we could have done differently, but everyone has shown glimpses of what they can do."

It seemed like Delhi Capitals won it in the first innings itself actually! Because Sunrisers Hyderabad were no match for the Delhi batters in the second innings, just no match!

Zeeshan Ansari was the only bowler who made an impact, that too in his debut IPL match. But otherwise, including a couple of missed opportunities, it was a sorry state of affairs for the men in orange.

Shami's bowling was average, Wiaan Mulder was brought on much later for his liking, Pat Cummins himself bowled rather ineffectively and the use of Abhishek Sharma was not quite at its best.

As for the home team, the batting of veteran Faf du Plessis was just top notch! Abishek Porel and Tristan Stubbs were pretty impressive too with how they finished things off. Jake Fraser-McGurk struggled, but managed to put 38 important runs on the board.

It remained a good pitch for batting, and the runs that SRH had on the board were just not enough to put the DC batters under any kind of pressure. So, it's two in two at home for Axar Patel's team whereas it's two losses in a row now after an opening win for the away team today!
