That brings us to the end of our coverage from this tri series encounter. A brilliant game of cricket and like all of you, we also enjoyed it very much from the comm box. Keep following Sportskeeda for all the latest sporting actions but for now this is me (Arya Sekhar Chakraborty) biding adieu also on behalf of my fellow commentator and good mate Rajarshi Das.
Ireland won by 1 run
Mark Adair 49(24) | Fionn Hand 3/18(4) Tim Pringle 35*(13) | Tim Pringle 3/32(4)
Netherlands were heavy favourites for seventy-five per cent of the game and at one stage it seemed no way back for Ireland. However the bowling unit har other ideas. On the back of a superb spell from Fionn Hand, Ireland comfortably defended the score of 150 but just by a solitary run. Tim Pringle turned the game on its head towards the back end of the match.
He smashed two back to back sixes in the final over but just couldn't get his side over the finish line. The run chase was going to be a tricky one for the hosts as the were not used to playing in this sort of hybrid pitches. Michael Levitt came out firing and scored 9 runs in the opening over. However the Irish bowlers came back strongly for the rest of the powerplay.
Max O'Dowd struck some impressive shots to get going but Ireland got their first breakthrough on the final delivery of the powerplay. It open the floodgates and they applied the pressure back on the Netherlands batters. Vikramjit Singh couldn't quite replicate his heroics from the previous game and was dismissed for a duck. Bas de Leede looked in ominous touch from the outset and smashed some boundaries to get the innings going.
O'Dowd departed in the 13th over and the pressure was back on Netherlands. However it was de Leede's wicket which put them further on the backfoot. Fionn Hand bowled brilliantly while Curtis Campher and Mark Adair also chipped in with a couple of wickets. It was Tim Pringle who scored a quickfire 35 off just 13 deliveries to get them within touching distance of the target. However it wasn't to be as Ireland register their first win of the tournament
What an exceptional match. We have seen an absolute classic and this crowd has been treated to some of the finest T20 cricket in Europe. Ireland win by 1 run. A spare of thought for Tim Pringle who almost snatched victory from the jaws of defeat but Mark Adair nailed the Yorker on the final ball which just about sealed the game. What a match, everyone in this ground will remember this match for a long time.

19.6 Mark Adair to Tim Pringle, just a single, Adair holds his nerve, and Ireland prevail by a solitary run! Adair switched to round the wicket for the final delivery, landed it close to the blockhole, following Pringle as he looked to give himself some room. Pringle could only drill it back to the bowler, who gathered, and allowed the batters to cross over for a run, refraining from under-arming it onto the stumps. What a match we've had at the VCC today!
Goodness oh me! Tim Pringle with back to back sixes. He needed to be perfect in the final over and the couple of sixes has very much kept the Dutch alive. It's all happening here.
19.5 Mark Adair to Tim Pringle, SIX MORE! 3 needed off the final ball - Tim Pringle has kept the hosts well and truly in it! Banged in short outside off, Pringle reads the length early, pulls, and hits the ropes on the full forward of deep square!
Wow, what a strike from Tim Pringle. Under pressure, he sends that over the midwicket fence.
19.4 Mark Adair to Tim Pringle, SIX! 9 needed off the last two, and the crowd comes to life! Slot ball, just outside off stump, Pringle gets right under this one, clubs it towards long on and clears man and ropes!
19.4 Mark Adair to Daniel Doram, wide, the attempted wide yorker, angled past the tramline as Doram wafts at it. Pringle calls Doram through for an extra run
Daniel Doram, LHB is the new man in.
With the game in the balance Paul van Meekeren holds out in the deep. This was a well connected shot but the boundary on the leg side is big and he couldn't quite clear the fielder.
19.3 Mark Adair to Paul van Meekeren, TAKEN! Banged in short around off, van Meekeren went for a pull and made really good contact. The only problem was that he hit it into the wind towards deep square, and the ball held up in the air. Delany in the deep settled under the high ball and made no mistake
Paul van Meekeren c Gareth Delany b Mark Adair 3 (4b, 0x4, 0x6)
19.2 Mark Adair to Tim Pringle, full, around off, Pringle clubs this closer to the man at deep mid wicket. Just a single this time - van Meekeren had his hand held up!
19.1 Mark Adair to Tim Pringle, full, close to the blockhole around off, Pringle digs this one out to the left of the man at deep mid wicket. Pringle was struggling to get back for two, but the throw was wide at the keeper's. Loud cheers from the crowd as Pringle dived to make his ground!
That's the end of the penultimate over and don't go anywhere as the Netherlands are trying to claw their way back in the final stages of the game. Tim Pringle smashing a six and a couple of four to reignite the hopes of the Dutch. 20 runs needed off the final over to win the game.

18.6 Barry McCarthy to Tim Pringle, low full toss outside off, dragged towards the man at long on. 20 needed off the last over!
Pringle is giving everything to keep Netherlands in the contest here. A six and a four have made things interesting here but the Irish still very much favorites.
18.5 Barry McCarthy to Tim Pringle, FOUR MORE! 21 needed off 7 now! McCarthy misses the wide yorker again, dishing out a full toss outside off. Pringle has a swing across the line, gets a lot of it, the ball lands just inside the ropes at mid wicket, bisecting both fielders in the deep
