That brings us to the end of our coverage for this incredible contest. It was a pleasure bringing all the live coverage from this match. Till the next time this is me (Arya Sekhar Chakraborty) signing off also on behalf of my fellow commentator and good mate Rajarshi Das. Goodnight!
Mayank Agarwal: Not really actually to be very honest. We have witnessed some tremendous cricket. We have played three super overs and now this effort. Pure goosebumps. Suraj is a great package. He can play in swinging conditions, in spinning conditions. Both him and Shubhang batted beautifully, both of them displayed phenomenal game sense. Shubhang is a pure all rounder. He will give you four overs and bat the way he did. He is a complete player.
Suraj Ahuja is the Player of the Match.
Bengaluru Blasters won by 6 wickets (with an over to spare)
The Bengaluru Blasters were facing a herculean task at the halfway stage after the Shivamogga Lions had posted the highest score of 227 in this edition of the tournament. They needed a blistering start from the two powerful strikers LR Chethan and Mayank Agarwal.
However it wasn't to be as Chethan departed in the second over. Bhuvan Raju was the next man in and he struck a couple of impressive shots. Mayank Agarwal looked threatening right from the outset and raced to a 17 ball 33 before his departure at the hands of Hardik Raj.
Bhuvan Raju and Niranjan Naik were also dismissed in quick intervals as the Bengaluru Blasters were reduced to 59/4. It looked done and dusted but what transpired next was a sight to behold. Two young guns Shubhang Hedge and Suraj Ahuja literally turned it on just when the Bengaluru Blasters looked all at sea.
There was no stopping the dynamic duo of Ahuja and Shubhang who kept plundering the bowlers to all corners of the park. Boundaries came flowing from the 8th over and they just kept turning it on with each over. Some exceptional pick up shots and slog sweeps were the feature of their partnership.
Shubhang Hegde played some astounding shots and it just went from strength to strength. Suraj Ahuja was not behind either as the duo ended up stitching and unbeaten 169 run stand which remains the highest ever in the history of Maharaja Trophy.

18.6 V Koushik to Shubhang Hegde, SIX! The Bengaluru Blasters have chased it down with an over to spare. Full-length outside off, Shubhang launches it over the deep cover region and finishes it off. What a knock and what a partnership.
18.5 V Koushik to Shubhang Hegde, SIX! Hard-length delivery well wide outside off, width on offer and that has been flayed away hard and comfortably clears the deep point fence.
18.4 V Koushik to Suraj Ahuja, low full toss around middle and leg, worke away towards the deep square leg region for a single.
18.3 V Koushik to Suraj Ahuja, FOUR! On a length a shade outside off, Ahuja stands tall and lifts it over the cover region, exceptional timing and that races away to the deep cover-point fence.
18.2 V Koushik to Suraj Ahuja, fuller-length delivery a shade outside off, worked away towards the midwicket region and comes back for a brace.
18.1 V Koushik to Shubhang Hedge, in the blockhole a shade outside off, Shubhang digs this out towards the off side for a single.

HS Sharath
2/47
17.6 HS Sharath to Shubhang Hegde, Shubhang moves across off and tries to sweep that over fine leg, misses and the ball hit the stumps, was a free hit and a run taken.
17.5 HS Sharath to Shubhang Hegde, FOUR! It's a no ball as well. Slower on a fullish-length well outside off, Shubhang shuffles across off and swipes across the line, gets it away off the inside edge down towards the backward square leg boundary.
17.5 HS Sharath to Shubhang Hegde, slower on a goodish-length angling well across Hedge, he goes slashing at that and the wide line moved as Hedge moved, gets beaten again.
17.4 HS Sharath to Shubhang Hegde, slowish on a good-length a shade outside off, Hedge goes slashing at that and gets beaten.
17.3 HS Sharath to Shubhang Hegde, SIX! That has been slashed hard for a maximum. What a monumental blow this. On a length outside off, Hedge flays at that flat and hard clearing the deep point fence.
17.2 HS Sharath to Shubhang Hedge, two runs.
17.1 HS Sharath to Suraj Ahuja, slower ball, pitched up on off stump. Ahuja pushes this towards long on and rotates strike
Doddamani gets away with the last delivery, could have been called a wide. However still a productive over for the Bengaluru Blasters with 13 runs coming off that. This has been a partnership to remember and just 35 more needed off 18 deliveries.
