New colours for me, but I have settled in nicely and am coming off a great last year. Great to be here. I think I have played enough T20 to know that conditions change, and then, if I don't get things right in the first over, I have three more overs to contribute. Playing more on conditions like these will help me grow better. Last year, I was bowling in the powerplay and through the middle. I feel my strengths are bowling upfront with the new ball and throwing the first punch with getting an early wicket. I am easy with anything, Hopefully we can restrict their batters to low total, and our guys can chase it down soon

Nicholas Pooran (Player of the Match, Lucknow Super Giants): I have been asked this a lot of times. I practice a lot, and it comes off in the game, especially with the experience as well. You understand what is needed in the game; guys bowl everything, and if you know it, you are able to play well. Not only today but throughout, Aiden and Mitch have been great for us. That is one of the reasons we have scored so many runs. They play the situation and do exactly what the team wants and are great to have the win today. I take down my matchups and try my best, as the opportunity presents itself, I want to do well.

Rishabh Pant (captain, Lucknow Super Giants): When we batted, we didn't realise it, but after the powerplay, we realised. After the first break we had, we asked the bowlers to stick to the plans and keep the basics all right, not trying different things when being hit. That was a very conscious decision; when the game is running away, you want to slow it down. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, and hopefully it worked. Back is getting better now

Phew, that was close. But in the end, it is LSG that prevails. Thirce now has Rinku Singh had LSG on their toes in a chase, but he has fallen short by a wafer-thin margin, which will hurt him. LSG are the ones who will be smiling from ear to ear after a win in the City of Joy, with the two points also in their kitty.

KKR had a good start, which was soon halted by Akash Deep, who trapped Quinton de Kock early. Later on, it was Sunil Narine and Ajinkya Rahane who batted really well and put together 50 runs for the wicket, but then Narine too lost his way. Later on, Ajinkya Rahane and Venkatesh Iyer kept the ship steady until they lost one too many wickets and collapsed in the middle.

Later on, Andre Russell and Rinku Singh gave it their all. The two ensured that the target could have been chased down, but some good, disciplined last over bowling by Ravi Bishnoi ensured that the batters eventually fell short of the mark in the end overs. LSG, with that, ensured their third win of the tournament and moved up in the points table.

The five-bowler theory seems to have paid off time and again for LSG. Akash Deep and Shardul Thakur, though expensive, picked up two wickets each. Digvesh Rathi, Ravi Bishnoi, and Avesh Khan picked up one wicket each and bowled tight overs that ensured the opposition couldn't gun down the target.
