It's a fourth straight defeat for the Lions. They showed good fighting spirit with the bat, but lost wickets at a crucial time and came up short. It was a solid start from them as Hamid Ali cashed in the loose deliveries inside the powerplay and kept the scoreboard ticking. He was along nicely before the spinners made it tough in the middle overs and Ali struggled to accelerate his innings. Then, Masike played an entertaining innings as he struck quite a few lusty blows to keep his team alive in the contest but Masuku ended his knock and that turned out to be one of the match-defining moments. The partnership between Frost and Gwandu gave them a slim chance in the end but Mpofu and Masku mixed up the lengths well to make it tough for the batters.
