Glenn Maxwell, Man of the Match - We really needed this win, had to keep ourselves alive, although we still need to win the next match and then hope for some results to go our way. It looks good when it comes off (on the batting), we started well, and the way they (Stoinis and Cartwright) finished shows the power in this batting line-up. We did the match-ups with the ground, the dimensions, the size of the ground played a part as well. We kept taking wickets, I saw the catch on the replay and felt a bit special indeed.
14th over into the innings and it is ALL OVER!! JUST LIKE THAT. This is how you chase down an iffy target. Comprehensive is the word. Brilliant striking by the Stars. Joe Clarke and Glenn Maxwell got their side off to just the perfect start.
They broke the back of this chase scoring 100 runs within the first 10. How good was Joe Clarke again with his stroke-play? And, Glenn Maxwell finally arrived to the party for the Stars, with an all-round show.
For the Heat, they never really showed up. They could never gain any momentum with the bat and did not really pose any questions with the ball in hand either. A disappointing outing for them.
With both teams languishing at the bottom half of the table before the game, this was an important encounter. And, Melbourne Stars would gladly take away the points along with the bonus Bash Boost point that they surely deserved.
Can the Men in Green, bolstered with a full-strength side, get on a roll? Can they make it to the playoffs? The Heat though would need to put this behind them and bounce back much stronger.
For now, we here at Sportskeeda thank you all for joining.. We love bringing the game to you and will continue to do so.. Until next time, Stay Safe, Mask Up and keep the Omicron away. CIAO!!

13.4 James Bazley to Marcus Stoinis, short outside-off, Stoinis slaps it just wide of mid-on for a couple of urns. Mark Steketee moved well to his right and dived but he just missed the ball while going with his right hand
13.3 James Bazley to Marcus Stoinis, full and wide of off, Stoinis backs away early and can't reach the ball
13.2 James Bazley to Marcus Stoinis, slow and short, Stoinis pulls it towards deep mid-wicket for a boundary. FOUR! What a knock this has been from Stoinis so far
13.1 James Bazley to Hilton Cartwright, short delivery, Cartwright backs away and pulls it to fine-leg for a single
HUGE OVER THAT!! 23 off it!! The Stars want to get over with this soon. Perfect opportunity to up that NRR..

The Heat have sent both the openers back into the dugout. A tad bit too late, though? Well, funny things have happened in T20 cricket, You never know. A flurry of wickets is the only way back for the Heat...
