Melbourne Stars beat Melbourne Renegades by 8 wickets!
Thomas Rogers 46* (34) | Daniel Lawrence 2-8 Glenn Maxwell 32* (15) | Beau Webster 1-4
The Melbourne Stars story in this season so far is an inspirational one. After losing each of their opening 3 matches, they have picked themselves up and have now gone on to string together a 4 match winning streak. They move to the 3rd spot in the points table with 8 points.
It did not look great at the start of the day with the rain but once the match began, only Quinton De Kock's knock was a notable contribution from the Renegades' batting effort. 98 from 14 overs was never going to bother the Stars too much which meant that the Renegades had to put up the enforcing act of the night which never arrived.
Glenn Maxwell deservingly becomes the Man of The Match with his all-round show with able support from Thomas Rogers who scored his unbeaten 46 at a strike rate which was in excess of 135. Join us tomorrow again as the Big Bash hosts a double header and we would be bringing you all the action on our platform. See you then!

12.1 Kane Richardson to Thomas Rogers, MELBOURNE STARS WIN THIS GAME! Rank full toss. Rogers needs no second invitation to heave it over mid on to pick up a boundary. And that will be that- the Stars have now won four games in four!
Tom Rogers was only able to keep Maxwell silent in the opening half of the over with his accurate and fiery short ball ploy. But the Stars skipper's scintillating form ensured he leaves only a solitary run for his team to score from the last couple of overs.

11.6 Tom Rogers to Glenn Maxwell, short of a length outside off, rises well. Maxwell goes back and cuts it up and over point for a couple of runs.
11.5 Tom Rogers to Glenn Maxwell, short on off and middle, rises well. Maxwell tries to pull it away but does not connect.
11.4 Tom Rogers to Glenn Maxwell, FOUR! TOP SHOT! Short of a length on off and middle, comes back in. Maxwell stands tall and pulls it away in the gap between mid on and midwicket for a boundary!
11.3 Tom Rogers to Glenn Maxwell, short of a length outside off, moves away a tad. Maxwell tries to slash at it but misses.
11.2 Tom Rogers to Glenn Maxwell, BUMPER on off and middle! Maxwell is surprised and sways away from it.
11.1 Tom Rogers to Glenn Maxwell, short of a length on off and middle, comes back in. Maxwell tries to pull it away but gets an inside edge wide of the keeper for a brace.
With the finish line getting nearby, Glenn Maxwell took his chances against the best bowler in the opposition line-up and former Stars teammate Adam Zampa. And he did that in a decimating fashion! 3 consecutive sixes in that over - one of them was 99 metres and another a gigantic 102 metres! Just 9 more to win!

10.6 Adam Zampa to Glenn Maxwell, flatter and back of a length on off and middle. Maxwell pulls it down to long on and takes a single.
10.5 Adam Zampa to Glenn Maxwell, ANOTHER MAXIMUM! Zampa is brave enough to toss it up yet again. However, Maxwell tees off by leaning in and slogging it over long on for another massive hit!
10.4 Adam Zampa to Glenn Maxwell, SIX AGAIN! Tossed up at a length on off and middle, turns away. Maxwell gets down and slogs it away over long on for a hugeeeeeeeee hit!
10.3 Adam Zampa to Glenn Maxwell, SIX! BOOM! Tossed up right in the blockhole on off and middle. Maxwell hangs back and then whips it away using his bottom hand over the long on fence for a massive hit!
10.2 Adam Zampa to Thomas Rogers, back of a length on middle and leg, skids through. Rogers pulls it towards deep midwicket for a single.
10.1 Adam Zampa to Thomas Rogers, tossed up outside off, turns back in. Rogers pushes it to the off side.
Thomas Rogers gets into the 40s after gaining a reputation for not being able to produce big knocks. He would be keen on staying there till end to take his team across the line. For the Renegades, they would be hoping for Adam Zampa to come over soon and spark a miracle!
