The temperature is 27 degrees, it's beautiful. Little bit of a breeze that's coming from the mountain. One very short boundary, for a right-handed batsman facing the Kelvin Grove end, hitting towards the leg side square is 59 meters. 69 meters the other side. With the wind towards the leg side, the boundary might turn out to be even shorter. 170 seems an interesting number on this deck, has been chased down four times. It's a fresh surface, got a nice shine to it. Looks like a belter. The overhead conditions is a concern, the heat saps up the moisture. 170 might not be enough if the ball doesn't turn much. It's got some grass covering, bit of grass in the middle too. The cracks won't play a big role though. Looks better from the Kelvin Grove end. 169 might be a par score, reports Shaun Pollock and Mike Haysman.
