So, that is it from myself, Karthik Raj and my co-commentator, Raghav. Do switch over to the Legends League final while there are ECL matches going on currently too. Cricket continues tomorrow as usual with two ODIs, two WPL fixtures and several ECL games lined up. Until next time, it is a warm good-bye!
Marizanne Kapp, Player of the Match: To be honest, the bowling group as a whole deserves this award. Look, on this wicket, every time we win the toss, i want us to bowl first as the ball seems to do something. Just happy with the team's performance overall. For me, I have always been someone who is hit and miss at the start of the competition. I get better after reading the pitches. The catching from this team has been absolutely amazing. Been a long time since I have seen fielding like this.
Meg Lanning (Delhi Capitals captain): Was a great game. Kappie got us off to a great start andto chase it down like that, it is very special from the group. She is very talented. Always willing to learn and eager to play. To see her perform so well, pleased for her. The bowling set up the game for us. I was quite happy with the blue. Just great to have the win tonight and looking forward to contribute tomorrow. Just another repeat performance. Sometimes we have bowled well but not batted as well and vice-versa. Just need to continue with complete performances
Time for the Post-match Presentation!
Alice Capsey: Delighted with the win, very happy to get the job done early. Our bowlers bowled some good lines to restrict them to a low score on a good batting wicket. The ball wasn't doing much when I was batting and it helped me hit through the line and straight. We want to play the same brand of cricket whether we're chasing 110 or 200. Shafali sets the tone for us. We both have different scoring zones and talking to her is great. No one better than her to learn from when it comes to ball striking.
Harmanpreet Kaur: We were definitely 40-50 short. With the bowling unit of ours, we could have taken a few early wickets. Yes, dew was a factor but we bowled really short and not according to the plans, also they batted really well. We need to sit down and talk, we have a great unit. We surely have to bat well now. Sometimes you have these bad days. We will not be overconfident and stick to our basics.
Woof! What a performance from the Delhi Capitals. Words can't explain what the young duo of Shafali Verma and Alice Capsey did especially. The match was obviously set-up by the bowlers as they restricted Mumbai Indians to just 109-8. Due also started to set in on the out-field and that further aided Delhi Capitals as they came out all guns blazing for the chase.
The Mumbai Indians' pacers looked to target Shafali with short balls but the opener still managed to get away several boundaries and a maximum. On the other end, Meg Lanning showcased her class too as Delhi scored 50 off just four overs. Shafali was eventually stumped off Hayley Matthews' bowling in the fifth over but Capsey came in and took over seamlessly. The English showcased brutal power as she struck Hayley Matthews for three sixes in the seventh over. Eventually, the Capitals finished off the game with a massive 11 overs to spare. Importantly, this huge win also has taken Delhi to the top of the points table!

Lanning was just like me , laughing at that second six from capsey 🤣🤣 just the audacity
8.1 Saika Ishaque to Alice Capsey, SIX! Capsey is unstoppable at the moment. Fraction short and around off, Capsey skips down the track and slams it over the head of the bowler for yet another six landing short of the sightscreen!
Woof! Some dot balls in that over and it seems like a few new wonders in the world. Just two runs off Amelia Kerr's first over!
