That brings us to the end of our coverage for this match. We hope you enjoyed the commentary. The caravan will now move to Napier, where the ODI series begins on Saturday, March 29. With some experienced players coming back in the team, Pakistan will hope to out up a better fight. Though, the recent past suggests that New Zealand will start as favourites there too. Do join us then. For now, it is the duo of Darpan Tikiya and Bidipto Dutta signing off.
10:17 PM local time, 2:47 PM IST | Bracewell receives the trophy and the celebrations begin. Shrieks of joy crackle through the air as New Zealand players pose for the winner's photograph.
Michael Bracewell (New Zealand captain): "The whole bowling unit has been outstanding. Jacob Duffy stood up in every game. It has been heartening to see. New Zealand cricket is in a good place. Different guys have stood up in every series. Good to see so many players coming through. The way we bounced back after Auckland was pretty good. Overall, we have been clinical in the other four games."
Agha Salman (Pakistan captain): "They were outstanding. We have to give credit to them. They outplayed us. But we need to take positives and move forward. The way Hasan batted in Auckland, the way Sufiyan bowled today. We will keep on backing them. They are young players, they will gain experience and come good eventually. Personally, I have done alright but it doesn't feel great when you lose the series. Completely different team in ODIs. It is going to be a good series."
Tim Seifert (Player of the Series): "I came into the series, adapted to the conditions and still played the way I wanted to play. Tonight, I was lucky to kick on and take the bowling down. Finn Allen too got stuck into the bowling and made my life easy. It's great sharing the top of the order with him. PSL is next for me, so I hope I can take this form into that tournament and quite a few of the boys from either team will be there with me."
Jimmy Neesham (Player of the Match, 5/22 off 4 overs): "Has been a superb performance from the team! I've enjoyed bowling a lot, and I do love playing whenever I get an opportunity for New Zealand. The top-order batting has been just brilliant!"
10:08 pm local time (2:38 pm IST):It's now time for the post-match presentation!
10:01 PM local time, 2:31 PM IST | New Zealand win the match by 8 wickets and the series 4-1.
Agha Salman 51 (39) | Jimmy Neesham 5/22 (4) Tim Seifert 97* (38) | Sufiyan Muqeem 2/6 (2)
It was like a race between a sleek turbo charged speedster and a rusty old vehicle. Pakistan meandered along their 20 overs, stuttering at every step of the way, struggling to garner any momentum whatsoever. New Zealand blazed through, gunning down in 10 overs a target that the visitors seemed to have laboured hard to put up.
Two men stole the show. Jimmy Neesham with the ball and Tim Seifert with the bat. Neesham bowled with some vigor, used the short ball well and was assisted with plenty of brash, overzealous strokes from the Pakistan batters. He ended his four overs with excellent figures of 5/22 to his name. Jacob Duffy, who got the new ball to move around a bit and even came back to bowl a solid final over, was another bright spec. He finished with 2/18 off his four. Skipper Agha Salman's fifty was the only saving grace for Pakistan.
128 was never going to be enough, but Tim Seifert made it look far more paltry. He was hit on the body first ball. The new ball swung a fair bit too. But none of that mattered to the New Zealand opener, who was in a destructive mood today. As he has done often in the series before, he charged down the track, swinging his bat vehemently. The connection on most occasions today was sweet and he scampered to his first half-century of the tournament. At the end, he might rue the fact that there were not more to get as he ended with 97*. Sufiyan Muqeem's two overs would have brought some joy to the fans of Green Shirts, but by the time he was brought on to bowl, the writing was already on the wall.

Dropped and six! Seifert could play the lotto tonight.

9.3 Shadab Khan to Daryl Mitchell, good length ball on off-stump. Mitchell swipes it to the deep mid-wicket area and collects a single.
9.2 Shadab Khan to Tim Seifert, good length ball around off-stump. Slammed to the right of long-off off the cue end of the bat for just the single.
9.1 Shadab Khan to Tim Seifert, SIX RUNS! Length ball on off-stump. Slogged away well over deep mid-wicket from the step-hit for a maximum!
"Don't throw it into the ground, it is wet" chirped Haris a couple of balls ago. That tells us that it is indeed dewy in the middle.
