Match summary:
Match tied - Paris Universite Club win off the Golden Ball
Usman Shahid 97 (31) | William Singh 2/33 (2) Arslan Zafar 43 (18) | Muhammed Shafique 2/19 (2)
It swung one way then the other and then the other. What an absolute thriller this was as it needed a golden ball to decide the winner between these two teams and PUC hold their nerves in the end to claim this cliffhanger.
Mitry would be gutted having let this one slip through after getting this slip out of their hands after getting it to 2 runs off 1 balls in the golden ball. We will certainly need to catch our breaths from that as PUC win another one and this one was the best of the lot.
Abbas Khawar almost threatened to pull the chase off with 37 needed off the last couple of overs. He had PUC in all sorts with some brutal hitting, but his run out changed the course of the game further. Hussain Yasir, the guilty party in the run out, got a couple out the middle to take the game to a golden ball, but as it turned out, that was not going to be enough.
1.0
0.1 Usman Shahid to Muhammad Arslan, RUN OUT! Paris Universite Club prevail! On a length around off, Arslan cuts this one to the right of the man at backward point, who crucially got a good hand to it. The batters had to go for the second run - they couldn't even cross over by the time the keeper smashed the middle stump out having gathered the cricket ball!
Muhammad Arslan run out 1 (1b, 0x4, 0x6)
Mitry need 2 runs in 1 balls to win the golden ball, Usman Shahid to bowl and Muhammad Arslan to face

9.6 Usman Shahid to Hussain Yasir, SIX! We're going to a Golden Ball! Full, around off stump, Yasir finds this in his slot, and proceeds to club this out the ground, over long on! 161 has met 161 - we have our 9th golden ball in the ECN this year!
7 runs in 1 ball, 6 for a golden ball, can Hasnian do it?

8.6 Abdullah Anwari to Hussain Yasir, fuller around off, inside edged towards the keeper. Quick single taken this time... in fact, there was no bat on this one at all, just a bye
8.6 Abdullah Anwari to Hussain Yasir, wide, on a length, this one's past the tramline
Shahzad Umar, RHB, is the new batter
Ridiculous stuff from the batters, Yasir went nowhere and Khawar is sold down the river. He is fuming as he leaves the ground
