Everest have finally registered their first win in the tournament. And it has in fact, been a demolition job they have carried out. To be fair, there seemed to be a gulf in between the two sides on display and it manifested in the number of wides that the Philips Warrior bowlers sent down.
There were 36 wides and coupled with 4 no-balls, they almost sent down 7 extra overs. Obviously, it kept them on the field for a bit longer and sapped them out of energy too. However, their batting did not look threatening either. Most of the men who came out in the middle had one ploy: clear the front leg and swing hard.
Everest were pretty clinical with the ball. They have their own limitations but their plan was to bowl straight and not concede too many extras. It worked out well for them as they ended up winning with the bonus point.
Arjun Shahi, the century-maker, was their star in this game.
