So, this is the second win on the trot for the Royal Challengers Bangalore Women but this victory is as commanding as it can get! What a start to the season it has been for them in front of their home crowd! Some of their key players are in good nick and a few other newer players are standing up tall and making their opportunities count. They are in a good space at the moment as a unit. The exact opposite can be said of their opponents for tonight - the Gujarat Giants Women. A lot of things need to get better for them. A whole lot! But, when you get hammered like this, the only way to go is forward and come back stronger.

Renuka Thakur is the Player of the Match! Here is what she has to say.

Renuka Thakur: After the injury, I've worked really hard and this has been my best performance for sure! I've worked on my fitness, on my bowling angles and my straighter delivery which holds its line. I've talked to Troy Cooley, India's coach, when the international games were on, and he was helped in that aspect as well. It's good to see that the work put in is coming off. Hope to continue this run of form.

Smriti Mandhana (Royal Challengers Bangalore Women captain): Really happy with both out performance and the crowd turn-out! We kept it simple, there were no hard talks as such, we just reacted to the ball more than anything else with bat in hand. Last match was more to do with defending runs, this time, we kept it straightforward with the ball too. Renuka Thakur swings it in and Sophie Devine swings it away, so the combination was good. Sabbhineni Meghana is a fine player. She keeps performing in domestic cricket and it is showing in her scores here. The team management is doing tremendous behind-the-scenes work and keeping us fit and healthy, both technically and temperamentally!

Sabbhineni Meghana, Royal Challengers Bangalore: I just wanted to take the confidence from the first game, utilize the powerplay. It worked out well for me. After Smriti got out, I just wanted to rotate strike, get closer, give more strike to Perry as well. Got those boundaries in between, all in all, it's all good. I got a message to calm down. They were telling me to take singles and hit the ball if it was there. I've got a lot of support from Smriti and team, they told me to back my strengths. That gave me a lot of confidence. They've really supported me. Yeah (On enjoying coming in at 3) I'm a bit relaxed going in at 3, holding my nerves, and just trying to hit whatever is in my range. I just try to look at Smriti while on the field - we cannot hear anything because there's so much crowd. I just move around as per however she guides me.

Beth Mooney, Gujarat Giants captain: Defending a low total was always going to be hard with the batting line-up RCB have. We have to go back to the drawing board and find out what's gonna work going forward. If we start scoring runs in the next two games, we'll forget about the first two games. Perhaps we're just not taking the high percentage options at the right time. Only getting to a 108 is pretty low these days, we'bve got to score in a few more balls, probably through that middle period and start. We need wickets in the shed as well to get to that 140-150 mark. We just thought RCB have a few spinners, and Harleen's good against spin. We thought that'd free her up, unfortunately didn't work tonight. I might drop myself down the order if I keep going how I am right now. It's about personnel clicking at the right time. We just got to hang in there and wait for that. We didn't have a whole heap of time between this and the last game. Hope the girls can believe in their skill sets a little bit more. There's not a whole lot we're doing wrong, just coming across some good batting and bowling. We can't keep changing players every year and expect them to set fire on game one, need to stick with this group and try and get the best out of each of them.

If the very first over was anything to go by, this RCB batting unit is not going to spare any bowling attack which has to defend a small total! And captain Smriti Mandhana would lead from the front in that case!

What a magnificent batting effort it was from the skipper in front of the home crowd! She struck three fours in it and blunted the pace and experience of Lea Tahuhu straightaway, to demoralize the opposition immediately!

It was a shame that she could not get a half-century to her name but with 8 fours and a six, the team management of the RCB will be happy to see her in form this early in the season.

What will please them more, is the form of Sabbhineni Meghana! Two games in now, and she has shown a lot of confidence with bat in hand against both pace and spin. She has the shots on both sides of the wicket off both the front and back foot. The more she plays, the better she should get.

Sophie Devine missed out, but Ellyse Perry enjoyed her stay at the crease with a 'not out' against her name, along with, four boundaries.

There is nothing much to talk about the Gujarat Giants bowling and fielding performance, sadly! There were misfields, there were wrong lengths, there were wrong lines and to some extent, not the best of captaincy. They need to put this behind them and move forward here.

A highly convincing victory this for the RCB! They won the first game by a bare margin, but romped home in this one!

12.3 Sneh Rana to Ellyse Perry, FOUR! That's it - RCB clinch it with plenty of time and wickets to spare! Dropped on a length on off stump, Perry swiveled, swiped this one with the turn, and got it into the gap towards fine leg!
