The umpire's have made an early call and it is indeed the right one. Whilst the weather isn't showing any signs of getting better in the next half an hour, even if it does it will take the ground staff a good amount of time to prepare the pitch and the outfield which is soaking wet due to the relentless downpour. Looks like we will have to shut the shop early.

Hello and welcome to the ball by ball coverage of Match 17 of European Cricket Series, Portugal. It is the Team Tigers Portugal taking on Gorkha 11. Darpan Tikiya and Sourabh Aggarwal from Sportskeeda are here to take you through the action as it unfolds at the Santarem Cricket Ground in Cartaxo.
These are two teams who are on the opposite ends of the points table at the moment. Having registered convincing wins in 3 matches, Gorkha 11 are currently at the apex of the points table. Meanwhile Team Tigers Portugal are still searching for their first win.
Though it wouldn't be wrong to say that fiercest competitor in this competition has been the weather. Gorkha 11 have had two of their games washed away while one was shortened due to rain.
Similarly, Team Tigers Portugal have had three of their matches abandoned. The first game of the day got washed as well. Hoping for some better weather and some T10 action to provide us our daily dose of cricketainment.
