WWE NXT Live Results (July 9th, 2024): HUGE reunion of former NXT Champions, HUGELY POPULAR star appears for main event!

FULL RESULTS FOR WWE NXT FOR JULY 9TH, 2024.
KARMEN PETROVIC defeats Arianna Grace by pin.
TONY D'ANGELO defeats Lexis King 2 Rounds to 1 Round.
GALLUS defeats Tyriek Igwe and Tyson Dupont by pin.
THEA HAIL defeats Izzi Dame by submission.
OTM defeats The OC by pin.
SOL RUCA defeats Fallon Henley by disqualification.
JOE HENDRY and TRICK WILLIAMS defeat Shawn Spears and Ethan Page by pin.

Trick is a bit confused about what happened but is still angry with Shawn Spears. As the show ends, Hendry and Trick celebrate on opposite turnbuckles.

Page and Spears hit Trick with a double suplex for a near fall. Spears blasts Trick with some chops. Trick tries to escape it, but Spears hoists him for a C4 drop. Trick counters into a neckbreaker. As the ref holds Hendry back, Oro Mensah rushes in to blindside Ethan Page. The two escape through the crowd, leaving Spears alone.

Hendry tags in and hits Spears with a Fallaway Slam. Hendry plays to the crowd and pans to the camera, but Spears rushes at him. Hendry sends Spears over the top rope and into a Trick Shot knee from Trick. Trick sends Spears back into the ring for a Uranage finisher from Joe Hendry.

Result - Joe Hendry and Trick Williams defeat Shawn Spears and Ethan Page by pin.

Hendry goes for the tag, but Page counters it with a Guillotine Choke. Joe then gets out by reversing into a suplex. He tags in Trick, and Trick lands a Scissor Kick on Spears and Page. Page catches a jumping Trick, hitting him with a Uranage. He adds a flying shoulder block off the apron before tagging Spears in. Spears hits a neckbreaker for a near fall.

Hendry and Page are in the ring off the commercial break. Page hits a DDT for a near fall before tagging Spears in. He rushes at Hendry and reigns down strikes from the mount. Spears hit a chop on Hendry's chest before tagging Page in. Page lands a chop, but Hendry returns fire.

Notably, Spears and Ethan were in AEW this year. Hendry is in TNA. This match was unthinkable six months ago.

Trick starts with Page. He clotheslines Page before dragging Spears into the ring. Page goes for a Piledriver but quickly tags Hendry in. They hit a tandem clothesline. Spears rushes in but gets dropped. Hendry hits Page with a delayed suplex before sending him from the ring. Trick tags in and hits a crossbody to the outside on Spears and Page.

Joe Hendry's music hits!

Ethan Page and Shawn Spears come out for the main event. Trick is out next but is alone, until . . . .

The Rascalz vs. Gallus is announced for next week.

Backstage, we see Ava, Stevie Turner, and Cedric Alexander coming out of her office. He claims he's officially NXT now. Mr. Stone walks in and introduces Ava to Ashante "Thee" Adonis.

NXT Anonymous catches Tatum Paxley talking to a Barbie doll backstage. I guess it represents Izzi Dame, and Paxley wants to know why Dame thinks she is better than everyone and won't play with her. There's something about titles, but Paxley targets Izzi because she isn't as unique as she thinks. She then tears the head off of the doll and tosses it on the ground. Wendy Choo comes in and picks it up.

Sol fights back with some springboard moves. She goes for another one off the top rope, but Henley kicks the ropes. She hits a facebuster for two. Sol hits a few moves that look like they hurt her more than Henley. After that exchange, there are a few weird seconds when it seems they forgot the moves. Sol hits the Sol Snatcher on Henley but can't pin Fallon because Jacy Jayne and Jazmyn Nyx interfere. They take Ruca out.
Result - Sol Ruca defeats Fallon Henley by disqualification.

Ruca evades some moves and does a handstand, but Henley kicks her in the gut. Henley lands a kick to the side of Ruca's head for a near fall. Vic tries to make excuses for Sol by saying she had to travel back to NXT so that she might be rusty.

Up next is Fallon Henley battling Sol Ruca. Fallon does a cartwheel and Sol's surfing gesture to mock Ruca.

In the parking lot, we see a car and the NQCC shoving someone in the trunk. Dempsey is yelling that 'mistakes won't be tolerated' about Damon Kemp's interference last week. They're writing him off via a trunk ride since he's claimed to be a free agent. Wren Sinclair is randomly in the parking lot and says she didn't see anything.

Vic then says OTM might be in line for a title shot after that win. One win. And ready for a title shot. We then see Fallon Henley call Sol Ruca's title shot the biggest waste of one since she lost. Ruca says she doesn't have a problem with Fallon and has learned that you either put in the work in NXT or b***h.

OTM hits a modified pancake on Anderson for the win.
Result - OTM defeats The O.C. by pin.

Price tags in and hits a Uranage, followed by a big Lariat in the corner on Anderson. Anderson tags Karl in, and Gallows does work on Lucien Price. Surprisingly, the crowd chants "Too Sweet," referring to The O.C.'s time in the Bullet Club. As the guys fight in the ring, Mcihin comes through the crowd and almost falls out of her top. Security breaks her and Jaida Parker up.

Briggs also wants a shot at Shawn Spears since Spears cost him a month of his career. In the ring, Bronco Nima hits Gallows with an impressive delayed suplex. It's the best thing he's done since debuting. Gallows quickly makes the tag to Karl Anderson.

Bronco revealed earlier that he has a broken nose and is wearing a mask similar to Jacy Jayne's while wrestling.

Backstage, Briggs and Jensen are in Ava's office. Briggs takes responsibility for Jensen's actions because he vouched for him. He says he'll be with him to ensure he doesn't act out again. If Je'Von Evans is cleared by next week, he'll face Jensen. Briggs says he'll be there with him, but Jensen says he'll do it alone. HE. DOESN'T. GET. IT. Stone then says, "Don't say his name," which is the third tease for Joe Hendry.

Up next is OTM taking on the OC.

Backstage, Lee admits to his friends that he was close to quitting, but they changed his mind. As the Rascalz are is on his side, Gallus walks up to tell Miguel and Wentz to leave. They also allude to a 'phony Scotsman,' but Mark Coffey says, 'Don't say his name.' Joe Hendry is showing up tonight, folks. That's two teases.

Chase U celebrates in the ring with Thea after her win. Oba appears in the arena pulpit to tell Duke that Ridge Holland getting a match for him next week is a mistake. Duke tells him not to underestimate him, especially since he has the attention of Hall of Famer Trish Stratus after stealing the show at Heatwave.

Dame locks in a Crossface submission and Chase U cheers her on until Tatum Paxley emerges from the crowd. Dame rushes out of the ring to attack her but ends up running into the ring post. Hail hits her with a Suicide Dive and then a crossbody back in the ring. Hail locks in a Kimura after a few more moves and Dame taps out to the rabid chipmunk.
Result - Thea Hail defeats Izzi Dame by submission.

Thea outwits Izzi a few times until Izzi slams her into the corner. She lands some kicks and a backbreaker for two.

With the way Thea Hail and Izzi Dame are dressed, they look like the small and large versions of the same wrestler.

Sarah Schreiber interviews Shawn Spears and Ethan Page about the developments regarding the main event tag match. They don't think Trick can find a partner to replace Je'Von Evans. Page tells Sarah to beat feet after Spears claims 'there's a lost soul out there' who needs him.

They all agree that the Rascalz should reunite and 'wreck shop' around here before hugging it out.

Lee asks them what they're doing here, and they say they don't want him to do something stupid like retiring. They both can't believe they're here with Wentz getting "WELCOME BACK" chants. He says he's missed Trey Miguel and Wentz and is proud of their actions. Wentz calls Wes the greatest North American Champion in history, and Miguel adds that MSK was the best tag team in NXT history.

Lee says he's been beaten before but this one felt different. He's had a heck of a run in NXT, but he thinks it's time for him to start stepping away but then the Rascalz/MSK come out!!!!

He admits that Oba Femi was the better man at Heatwave but his goal after waking up from surgery was to beat the unbeatable.

Wes Lee comes out next to address his future.

Kelly Kincaid interviews Trick about what has transpired with Evans. He says he'll fight Spears and Page by himself but after saying it out loud, realizes he should look for a partner. As he walks out, Joe Hendry's entrance graphic appears on the screen behind Kelly Kincaid.

The youngsters line Mark up for a finisher but Wolfgang distracts the ref. Joe Coffey pulls the top rope down as Tyson goes into them, causing him to fall out of the ring. Gallus hits their finisher for the win.
Result - Gallus (Mark Coffey and Wolfgang) defeats Tyriek Igwe and Tyson Dupont.

Tyriek Igwe and Tyson Dupont blindside Gallus as they're heading out for the tag team match. Payback. The match officially starts. Igwe battles against Mark and Wolfgang until Wolfgang tags in. Gallus neutralizes Igwe but he makes the tag to Tyson Dupont. Dupont hits a sidewalk slam on Mark and a short splash for a two-count.

It is revealed during the match that Je'Von Evans has been pulled from the tag team main event.

Backstage, Thea Hail is getting ready for her match with Izzi Dame. Chase University is sad about losing on Sunday. Ridge says he's proud of their performance and got the match with Izzi for Thea. He says Ava could give her a shot at Roxanne Perez if she does well. Ridge also got Duke a title match next week with Oba Femi. Riley Osborne says Oba is going to kill Duke. Thea Hail resumes being a rabid chipmunk.

Vic and Booker are talking but are cut off. We go backstage to see Brooks Jensen beating the heck out of Je'Von Evans. Refs run over to stop him as does Josh Briggs. Briggs says he stuck his neck out for Brooks with Ava and he does this. Brooks claims he's trying to make an impact.

Medical is called, Je'Von could be hurt.

King dropkicks The Don right as the bell rings for Round 4. He decks him with a big left. He goes for another Lariat but D'Angelo returns fire. He hits two belly-to-belly suplexes but King almost rolls him up for the win. King jumps off the top and lands a DDT for a near fall. King goes for a Superkick but D'Angelo ducks. He hits one and goes for the Coronation but D'Angelo counters and hits another Fishermen's buster for the win.
Result - Tony D'Angelo defeats Lexis King 2 Rounds to 1 Round.

The majority of Round 3 takes place during the commercial break. King hits a knee to the back of D'Angelo's head and a Coronation to pick up a fall.
