WWE NXT Results, live recap, grades: MASSIVE debut with another debut incoming; main event set for Halloween Havoc

FULL RESULTS FOR WWE NXT (OCTOBER 15, 2024)
STEPHANIE VAQUER defeats Wren Sinclair by pin.
LEXIS KING defeats Oro Mensah by pin.
NIKKITA LYONS defeats Lola Vice by pin.
RIDGE HOLLAND defeats Riley Osborne by pin.
BROOKS JENSEN defeats Ashante Adonis by pin.
ETHAN PAGE defeats Wes Lee and Je'Von Evans by pin.

Page grabs the mic immediately after the match to call out Trick Williams. Trick spins the wheel but Page blasts him with a metal object to stand tall at the end of the night. The wheel ends on a Devil's Playground match, essentially a hardcore match with no rules.

Page pushes Evans into Lee. He kicks Evans and goes for the Ego's Edge, but Evans counters out of it. Wes Lee blasts Ethan Page with a Meteora off the top. Evans goes for his bouncy cutter for the closest near fall of the night. Evans goes to the top again but is stopped by Page.

Vic calls Page a snake in tall grass coming out to strike for merely trying to stop the move. They set up a Tower of Doom with Page powerbombing Lee. Evans escapes unscathed, sending Page out of the ring. The Young OG hits his Corkscrew Plancha, but Page rolls in to roll him up for the shocking win.

Result - Ethan Page defeats Je'Von Evans and Wes Lee by pin.

All three men make it back to their feet but hit the ground when all attempting a head kick at the same time. Page and Lee climb to the top. Evans runs over to hit a Spanish Fly on Page. He blasts Lee with a springboard kick but Lee kicks out.

Wes Lee breaks up a pin attempt of Page. He lands some punches on a grounded Page. Lee hits a Tornado DDT on Evans with an assist off Page. He then hits a standing Shooting Star Press for a near fall.

Evans whiffs on a big move into the corner after Page and Lee move out of the way. Evans and Lee trade shots in the middle of the ring again, with Page languishing in the corner. Page and Lee knock each other down, allowing the former NXT Champ an opportunity to attack them both. He drops Lee on top of Evans and vice versa.

Lee goes for a Tornado DDT in front of the announce table, but Page turns it into a backbody drop onto the table instead. As Page basks in his move, Evans blasts him with a Suicide Dive that sends him over the table.

The crowd is loving this.

Evans hits Sliced Bread on Page, but Lee breaks up the pin. Lee and Evans trade punches and kicks in the middle of the ring while Page watches. They both catch kicks but send them Page's way since he wasn't participating.

Jaida Parker vs. Tatum Paxley and Luca Crusifino vs. Oba Femi both announced for next week.

Evans hits headscissors on Page but Lee takes advantage while he's not looking to hit him with another big kick. Page lands his own big boot, blasting Evans to the mat.

Evans opens the match by superkicking Lee. All three men trade pinning combos early on.

Looks like NXT's next great strange love story is kicking things up a notch.

Fatal Influence is getting fed to Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer next week. I guess they wanted a Pure Fusion Collective for NXT.

Before the next match, we get another vignette for the impending arrival of Delta. We then see Lexis King thanking the No Quarter Catch Crew for the match recommendation. He also says something nice to Wren despite her loss to Stephanie Vaquer. Before leaving, he also says Tony D'Angelo is looking dapper as he and the Family walk by.

Luca Crusifino reveals he plans to take on Oba Femi next week.

Adonis lands some kicks and additional offense before going to the top. Shawn Spears briefly gets on the apron to distract Adonis, allowing Jensen to hit a DDT for the win.
Result - Brooks Jensen defeats Ashante Adonis by pin.

Vic drops another dumb statement, claiming that "Maybe Brooks was jealous of Adonis" after his own missteps with relationships. During the match, Karmen Petrovic comes down to dump the crushed rose petals onto the ring apron. Booker says, "When you get a message like that, you stop everything."

He goes for a bodyslam, but that honorable Adonis blatantly rakes Jensen's eyes to break the move. Vic then says, "Maybe Adonis is maturing right before our eyes" after the eye rake. Again, nice logic, Vic.

Vic tries to make Adonis seem like a face since he went to "apologize" to Reece and Petrovic for costing them a win. Apologizing put it nicely because he was totally slimy in his delivery. Jensen controls the early action.

Up next is the battle for a crushed rose between Brooks Jensen and Ashante Adonis. Nice dynamic of two heels, bookers.

Referees and security helding both sides back

We see dark match footage of Tatum Paxley saving Sol Ruca from a post-match attack from Wendy Choo. Byron Saxton then interviews Paxley with her toys. Jaida Parker then crashes the interview to upstage Paxley. Parker says she's the one who's "on point" in the women's division despite technically losing her last match after walking out on Lola Vice. Paxley takes exception to Parker interrupting her playtime. Match incoming for next week . . .

This would be a first-time ever match.

Ridge continues the assault after the match. Thea Hail gets on the ropes to yell at him, but it has no effect. He clears off the announce table for more carnage. He goes for another DDT but Andre Chase makes the save, sending Ridge out of the ring. Refs and "security" have to hold both sides back. Seems like a perfect rivalry for a Halloween Havoc stipulation match.

Holland lands a gut-wrench powerbomb before hitting the impaler DDT for the win.
Result - Ridge Holland defeats Riley Osborne by pin.

Osborne tries to lock in an Octopus Submission, but Ridge slams him to the mat. Ridge dumps Riley on top of the announce table, but Riley kicks him away. Osborne hits a Tornado DDT off the table before getting back into the ring. The combatants trade punches atop the ring buckle. Ridge hits a Fallaway throw off the top buckle.

Before Ridge can make it into the ring for his match with Riley Osborne, the latter hits him with a Suicide Dive and Tope Con Giro.
Now that NXT is back in the same old arena, that same person with the annoyingly high-pitched screeching is back to breaking eardrums.

Nikkita picked up the win after her return.

In Ava's office, Vaquer and Giulia are talking to the GM. Fatal Influence comes in to ask for a North American title opportunity since Ava hands out title shots. She claims that isn't how it's done, but Je'Von Evans gets another title opportunity despite losing last week to Randy Orton. Ava then books two members of Fatal Influence against Vaquer/Giulia next week. Nice logic there, Ava.

Lola hits an axe kick but gets distracted when Jaida Parker runs out and jumps on the ring apron. Too much booty!!!! Lyons hits a Superkick to send Vice to the outside. Parker hits a knee strike on Vice on the outside with the ref's back turned. Back in the ring, Lyons hits a Vader Bomb for the win.
Result - Nikkita Lyons defeats Lola Vice by pin.

Lyons bodyslams Vice twice. Vice jumps on her back with a choke to ground the bigger opponent. Nikkita breaks it with a sidewalk slam counter for a two-count. Lyons lands a few kicks, but Vice takes her down. Vice lands two spinning kicks and the bicycle sequence of strikes. She sets up for her "I'm A Latina" hip strike, landing it in the corner.

Both women trade kick attempts. The crowd chants "Welcome Back" seemingly abandoning Vice for the returning new toy. They both mock the other by shaking their hips after moves.

The fans boo Lola at one point.

Booker T has already had a heart attack.

Booker T's first bingo card moment - Shucky Ducky Quack Quack when Vic mentions the return of Nikkita Lyons. A video package airs highlighting her return from injury and the setbacks she faced.

Before the next match, we get a recap of Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson costing Damage CTRL against the Champs last night. IYO SKY and Kairi Sane mention the interference on X, and Jackson/Legend say some words in response. Shouldn't the heroic and valiant face Champions have something to say about winning thanks to outside help?

Cedric Alexander and Je'Von Evans are talking backstage. Nathan Frazer and Axiom walk over to talk with them. Wes Lee walks over to tell Evans he won't win tonight. Wes also claims Je'Von will never become a champion.

King puts his hand out for a handshake, and Oro reluctantly shakes it. King raises both men's hands, and Oro looks mockingly at him. He won fair and square! What's wrong, Oro???

King goes to the ring apron. He climbs to the top, but Oro Mensah meets him with a flipkick to knock him off. He goes for a springboard kick but only gets a two-count. Mensah tries to follow it up, but King counters out. He goes for a move off the ropes, but Oro hits him with a Lariat. King moves out of the way when Oro goes for his finisher. King goes for the Coronation, but Mensah counters. King picks up the win cleanly by trapping Oro in a pin with a bridge.
Result - Lexis King defeats Oro Mensah by pin.

King and Mensah are on the top. King hits a Swanton for a near fall. Oro lands some strikes and a Hurricanrana. He hits a slam for a two-count. King counters with a Fisherman's Michinoku Driver for two. The men trade strikes in the middle of the ring.

Vaquer is making a statement in her debut match.

Lexis King almost pushes Oro out of the ring, which would be an old-school WCW DQ. He pulls him back into the ring to prevent that.

Vic Joseph mocks how Lexis King was trying to do things honorably against Mensah, but Mensah cheated to win. The two agreed to have the best man win, so I guess Vic doesn't care how the win is achieved. Mensah tries to land a kick, but due to the rule of the Gentleman's Duel, he cannot since King has all four of his limbs touching the mat. Tavion Heights also tweeted to see if King was listening when they explained the rules.

Karmen Petrovic and Brinley Reece are talking backstage. Ashante Adonis walks over to hand a rose to Brinley Reece, much to the chagrin of Petrovic. Shawn Spears walks over to say they deserve to be talked to like women and should be respected. He takes the rose from Reece and hands it to Brooks Jensen. They damage the rose, angering Adonis. Mr. Stone breaks it up.
