Ryan Michael Blaney is an American stock-car racing driver, representing Team Penske in the no.12 Ford Mustang Dark Horse in the NASCAR Cup Series. He finished as a runner up in the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race and had won the NASCAR championship the previous year in 2023. Blaney is a second-generation driver in NASCAR. His father Dave Blaney is a former NASCAR racer and his grandfather, Lou Blaney, was a modified dirt track racer. Ryan Blaney won three races in the 2024 season. He was among the final four drivers selected from the NASCAR Playoffs Round of 8.

Blaney started his full-time racing schedule in the Truck Series in 2013. He drove for Brad Keselowski Racing and earned the Rookie of the Year title. Blaney’s best finish in the Truck Series came in 2014 when he was the runner-up in the championship.

He made limited starts with Team Penske and Wood Brothers Racing in 2014 and 2015. Ryan Blaney debuted in the Cup Series with Wood Brothers Racing. His best season with the team was in 2017. Blaney switched to Team Penske in 2018 and has been racing with them for six years. Blaney has achieved a championship, 13 wins and 146 Top-10s in the Cup Series, as of January 2025.
