Covering a distance of 312 miles (502.115 km) with 312 laps, the Shriners Children’s 500 is a NASCAR Cup Series stock car race held every year at the Phoenix Raceway in Avondale, Arizona. The race was sponsored by Subway in the early years of the Phoenix International Raceway and was known as the Subway Fresh 500 to avoid confusion as Subway was already sponsoring a race in the Xfinity Series.

In 2011, the race became the second race of the NASCAR Cup Series, replacing the Auto Club Speedway race. In 2015, the Phoenix Raceway track became the fourth race of the season, replacing the Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway. Ruoff Mortgage, the title sponsor of the race was also replaced by United Rental in 2023, and then later on, Shriners Hospitals of Children replaced United Rentals in 2024.
