It is co-owned by ex-champion and NASCAR Hall of Famer Jeff Gordon. The team has achieved a lot in NASCAR. It is a highly successful racing team which currently runs four drivers in the Cup Series. Hendrick Motorsports has secured a total of 304 victories in the NASCAR Cup Series. It is topped off by a massive 14 NASCAR Cup Series titles collected since its inauguration in 1984.

The most notable drivers in the history of Hendrick Motorsports are seven-time Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon, Darrell Waltrip, Kyle Busch, Terry Labonte and the richest NASCAR driver, Dale Earnhardt Jr. The team set a record in 2007 for winning 18 out of the 36 NASCAR Cup Series.
