
The NASCAR Cup Series race at the Texas Motor Speedway will return to the Cup Series with a new name in the 2025 season. The race was previously known as the Autotracer EchoPark Automotive 400 race until the 2024 season. It was renamed as the Wurth 400 race during the 2025 season due to sponsorship reasons. The race is among the popular NASCAR events as it is known for its victory celebrations. The race winner is given the chance to fire a couple of six-shooters in the air wearing a black cowboy hat. Furhter honoring the cowboy traditions of Texas, the race trophy is designed like a cowboy hat on top of a piston. The Wurth 400 joined the Cup Series calendar as a regular race in 2005.

In 2020, the race recorded the longest red flagged session in the history of the NASCAR Cup Series (72 hours).
