BC Lions vs. Edmonton Elks preview and injury report
The Lions suffered a 35-27 defeat against the Toronto Argonauts in Week 1 of the CFL season. However, Rick Campbell's team has bounced back well.
BC secured its first win of the season against the Calgary Stampeders in Week 2 and continued its good run with a 26-24 victory against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in Week 3.
The BC Lions will aim to continue their good run of form heading into the matchup against the Elks on Thursday night. BC star quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. spoke to reporters earlier on Wednesday and confirmed he will be starting against Edmonton, after missing Tuesday’s practice with an abdominal strain.
“I feel good,” Adams said. "I just woke up with this strain in my lower area here, abdominal here. But I woke up today and feel better. Ready to go for tomorrow.”
Meanwhile, the Elks are yet to register a win this season. After losing to the Saskatchewan Roughriders and the Montreal Alouettes in the opening two weeks, Edmonton suffered a narrow 39-36 loss against the Argonauts in Week 3.
McLeod Bethel Thompson will start as the Elks' quarterback for the matchup against the Lions on Thursday.
