It's only a matter of time before the New York Jets acquire Aaron Rodgers. He confirmed on "The Pat McAfee Show" a few weeks ago that he intends on playing for the Jets this season and that the two sides are working out compensation for the trade.

Rodgers isn't the only superstar who might join the Jets this off-season. They have a strong interest in recovering free agent Odell Beckham Jr.

NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport thinks the Jets may be able to land Beckham Jr. because of Aaron Rodgers.

Rapoport said:

"The OBJ thing, you know, I know there's some kind of thought about the Jets. I know there is interest. I know he's got some interest in them. That would be one of those things or if they're able to come close on money would probably end up visiting and enter the Jets or one of the teams, obviously, that he spoke with, at the league meetings."

Rapoport added that he thinks Aaron Rodgers could have the same effect Brady had where veterans would sacrifice taking less money to join him in New York.

He added:

"You know, it's like when the Aaron Rodgers thing is interesting and worth noting, like, remember when Tom Brady signed with the Bucs and everyone was like, 'Cool, I'll just be a veteran and go sign up because hey, Brady, is there. I feel like that's kind of where we're going."

Per New York Jets reporter Rich Cimini, OBJ is reportedly seeking a one-year deal worth $15 million.

This has gone down from his previous asking price of $20 million per year.

Beckham Jr. is returning from a torn ACL suffered in February 2021. He missed all of last season due to the injury and is looking to join a roster this off-season.

In eight total seasons, he's recorded 531 receptions for 7,367 yards and 56 touchdowns. He has 23 carries for 170 yards and a touchdown.

If he and Aaron Rodgers joined New York, they would become a top contender in the AFC.

Do you think Odell Beckham Jr. will record over 1,000 yards this season?
