Travis Kelce splurges $33,000 on Italian merchandise for girlfriend Taylor Swift after eventful Eras Tour stop in London: Report

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift's stop in London is about as close to football as fans can get in June. As such, a small midseason story has become one of the biggest of the week. One part of the two's trip to London was souvenir gift-giving.

According to The Sun, Kelce gave his music-superstar girlfriend $33,300 worth of gifts. The bulk of the gifts appear to have come in the form of stylish clothing and accessories.

Some of the items were dresses; others were purses and handbags. Kelce also purchased a black trenchcoat for her. The theme of the shopping spree appeared to be black, as the majority of the items were that color.

The article dove into the prices of some of the luxury items. Swift's boyfriend spent $3,600 on the trench coat, $2,790 on the handbag, and $4,900 on the lone non-black purchase. It appears that the most thrifty purchase was a $1,600 pencil dress.

The most expensive purchase was a $7,300 Taffeta midi dress. Of course, a similar shopping spree at a simple United States local mall might have been accomplished for the price of just one item. However, when in Rome (or in this case, London), the Kansas City Chiefs tight end appeared to pull out the stops.

The start of the 2024 season will roughly mark one year of Taylor Swift's relationship with the tight end. With the anniversary just around the corner, Kelce recently recalled what she was like at her first game. Put simply, she jumped in headfirst.

Speaking on "Bussin' with the Boys" on Monday via Entertainment Weekly, Patrick Mahomes' tight end thought about how it all began.

"The first game she came to, against the Bears, I was like, 'OK, I could probably set you up with everything. And she just walked right through the front door. There's no going down or talking to security. She was like, 'I just want to be around the family and friends and experience this with everybody,'" he remembered.

From that moment, the story of the year was born in the NFL. Since then, the couple's relationship has been one of the spotlights of the league, bringing in viewers from a previously unthinkable demographic. Will they stick around into 2024?
