Sam Reinhart is a forward for the Florida Panthers in the National Hockey League (NHL). Notably, he was drafted second overall by the Buffalo Sabres in 2014 NHL Entry Draft. Prior to that, Reinhart showcased his talent in the Western Hockey League, earning the Four Broncos Memorial Trophy for his exceptional play. Making hsi debut against the Columbus Blue Jackets on October 9, 2014, he became the sixth-youngest player tp play for the Sabres. However, he was briefly re-assigned to the Kootenay Ice in the WHL before he solidified his spot in the Sabres lineup, steadily improving his performance over the years. In 2021, he was traded to the Florida Panthers, where he signed a three-year, $19.5 million contract. Reinhart's impressive scoring abilities include reaching milestones like his 25th power-play goal in a single season and becoming the second Panthers player to score 50 goals in a season.


In his international hockey career, he has represented Team Canada across various age levels, earning multiple medals. At the U18 level, Reinhart won gold at the 2013 IIHF World U18 Championships in Russia and bronze at the 2012 IIHF World U18 Championships in the Czech Republic. Moving up to the U20 level, Reinhart competed in the 2014 and 2015 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships, winning gold in 2015 as one of the team's alternate captains. He scored the game-winning goal in the gold medal game against Russia and finished as the tournament's leading goal-scorer. Reinhart also represented Team Canada at the 2016 IIHF World Championship, contributing to their gold medal win, and at the 2019 IIHF World Championship, where they secured the silver medal.
