Gerrit Alan Cole is an American professional baseball player. He plays the position of a starting pitcher. Cole currently plays for the New York Yankees. He was born on 8 September 1990. He is also known by his nickname ‘The Cole Train’.

Cole was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 2011 MLB draft. He debuted his MLB career in 2013. He got traded to the Astros in 2018, he stayed with the team till 2019.
