Joel Isaac Dahmen, better known as Joel Dahmen, is a professional golfer of America who was born on November 11, 1987, in Clarkston, Washington, to Ed Dahmen and Jolyn Dahmen. Joel’s father became his first coach and mentor and fully supported his passion for golf. Early on, Joel attended Clarkson High School; after completing his schooling, he continued his education at the University of Washington. When he turned professional in 2010, he started playing tournaments on PGA Tour Canada but did not succeed while playing on that from 2010 to 2013. Later in 2014, he achieved success on PGA Tour Canada at PC Financial Open on June 1, 2014, by 1 stroke and Syncrude Boreal Open on June 22, 2014, by 5 strokes. In late 2014, Joel also competed on PGA Tour Latinoamerica and tied for 2nd position in two of them.
In the following year, he also won the Order of Merit, which helped him to gain his Web.com card for 2015. Joel played 25 events on the Web.com Tour and made 12 cuts, including three top 10 finishes in 2015. Joel Dahmen finished 25th on the money list and also earned his PGA Tour card for 2017. In the PGA Tour season of 2016-17, Joel tied for 9th and ranked 176 in FedEx Cup Ranking. But after finishing 24th in the Web.com Tour Finals, he earned the PGA Tour card again for the season of 2017-18. At the Wells Fargo Championship in 2019, he tied for second place to Max Homa. His first PGA Tour victory came in 2021 at the Corales Puntacana Resort and Club Championship.
