Kelani Jordan (birth name: Lea Mitchell) is an American professional wrestler and a former gymnast signed to WWE. She actively competes in the NXT division as of January 2025. In WWE, she has won the NXT Women's North American Championship once, and was the first-ever champion in the history of the title.

Kelani Jordan Early Life

Kelani Jordan was born and brought up in Boynton Beach, Florida, U.S.A, as per her player profile with Michigan Spartans. Before her wrestling career, she excelled as a collegiate gymnast, representing the Michigan State University gymnastics team. Her real name is Lea Mitchell. With Michigan State, Jordan recorded a high of 9.900 in Vault and Bars, 9.950 in Floor and 9.925 in Beam.

Kelani Jordan first appeared on May 12, 2023, in NXT Level Up, where she fought against Wendy Choo but unfortunately lost. Her next match was on May 19, 2023, again in NXT Level Up, where she teamed up with Wendy Choo and managed to win against Elektra Lopez & Lola Vice. Following that, she showed up on June 2, 2023, in NXT Level Up, but this time she lost to Kiana James. Then, on July 4, 2023, she appeared on NXT, where she faced Tatum Paxley and emerged victorious.

Following her previous appearances, Jordan debuted as Dana Brooke's protege at NXT Gold Rush. Unfortunately, the storyline came to an end when Brooke was let go on September 21, 2023. In her next match at NXT No Mercy, Jordan faced Blair Davenport on the kick-off show but lost. Later, on the November 28 episode of NXT, Jordan managed to defeat Kiana James, earning her a spot in the Iron Survivor Challenge at NXT Deadline. However, despite her efforts, she couldn't secure a victory in the match.

Jordan formed a temporary team along with Fallon Henley and Thea Hail in 2024. They faced Izzi Dame, Kiana James, and Jacy Jayne in a six-woman tag team match in a winning effort. She beat Wren Sinclair and earned a spot for the NXT Women's North American Title in the six-woman ladder match, which was scheduled to happen at NXT Battleground. She clinched the title in that event and became the inaugural holder of that title. Jordan defended her title against Michin, Sol Ruca, Wren Sinclair, and Wendy Chooin in several events.

At NXT Halloween Havoc on October 27, Jordan defended her championship in a gauntlet match against Fatal Influence. She successfully defeated Nyx and Jayne but ultimately lost the title to Henley after interference from the other two members, ending her reign at 140 days. On January 7, 2025, at NXT: New Year’s Evil, Jordan competed in a fatal four-way match against Cora Jade, Lola Vice, and Stephanie Vaquer to determine the number one contender for the NXT Women’s North American Championship but came up short.
