Early Life and Career
Maycee Barber started competing as an amateur MMA fighter and made her amateur debut at SCL 56: Rise against Christina Breault. Barber won the fight in 20 seconds via Punches and turned professional after her solo amateur fight.
Barber signed with Legacy Fighting Alliance in 2017 and made her professional MMA debut with the promotion at LFA 14 against Itzel Esquivel. Maycee outclassed Itzel in the strawweight bout and submitted her in the first round via armbar submission. She built on this momentum to secure a unanimous decision victory over Mallory Martin at LFA 22 and finished Kaila Thompson via rear-naked choke submission at LFA 33.
Her last fight for LFA was at LFA 39, where she defeated Audrey Perkins via second-round TKO(punches and elbows).
Maycee next fought at Dana White's Contender Series against Jamie Colleen. She won the back-and-forth bout in the third round via TKO and got a UFC contract because of her performance.

In UFC Fight Night 205 on April 23, 2022, Barber fought against Montana De La Rosa and emerged victorious by unanimous decision.
