Born on October 15, 1992, Teoscar Hernández is a Dominican Republic-born professional baseball outfielder. He last played for the Seattle Mariners and is presently a free agent. Hernández signed a contract with the Houston Astros in February 2011 as an international free agent. During his first professional season, he was a member of the DSL Astros of the Dominican Summer League.
On August 12, 2016, he was promoted to the Major Leagues and debuted the same day. In 50 games with the 2020 Blue Jays, Hernández batted.289, with 34 RBIs and 16 home runs. Hernandez won the AL Silver Slugger Award for right field and concluded the shortened season with the fourth-best average of at-bats per home run in the American League. The following season, he made his breakthrough when he was selected for the All-Star Game and the All-MLB Second Team. That year, he also took home his second Silver Slugger Award.

Hernández signed a contract in February 2011 as an international free agent with the Houston Astros. That season, he joined the Dominican Summer League Astros to make his professional debut. Hernández played with the South Atlantic League's Class-A Lexington Legends and the Rookie-level Gulf Coast Astros in 2012. He appeared in 59 games and had a .243 batting average, five home runs, 23 RBI, and eleven stolen bases.
For the 2013 season, he played with the Class-A Quad City River Bandits and finished with a .271 batting average, 13 home runs, 55 RBI, and 24 stolen bases. Hernández later played 23 games for the Dominican Winter League's Toros del Este over the offseason.
Hernández was optioned to Triple-A Fresno on March 21, 2017. In replacement of an ailing Jake Marisnick, the Astros promoted Hernández to the major leagues on April 25, 2017. The next day, though, he was put on the 10-day disabled list following a collision with teammate Jose Altuve.
