Wakaso Mubarak: A Brief Biography

Wakaso Mubarak is a Ghanaian professional footballer who plays for RCD Espanyol in Spain, as a defensive midfielder. Wakaso started his football career playing with Ashanti Gold SC. In 2008, he moved to Europe and signed on with Elche CF in Spain, on a five-year contract. In January 2011, he was released from the club due to internal code violations following which he joined Villarreal CF\'s B-team in Segunda Divisio. On 27 February 2011 Wakaso made his La Liga debut, replacing Jose Catala in the last minutes of a 2–2 draw against Racing de Santander. Wakaso also played at an international level representing Ghana at the 2005 FIFA U-17 World Championship in Peru.
