Yariel Rodríguez began his professional baseball journey in 2015 in his hometown of Camagüey with the Ganaderos de Camagüey in the Cuban National Series. He appeared in 13 games with the team during the 2015-16 season, making six starts while racking up 13 strikeouts, eight walks, and an ERA of 2.35.
