Anime Vanguards is a tower defense-style Roblox experience where you place your anime-inspired units on the field to fend off hordes of enemies. The game boasts a plethora of characters, giving you plenty of options to use in battle. Unfortunately, this also means that knowing which of them to prioritize over others is difficult while playing through the title's various modes.

Here’s a list of the five best units to slot into your team while tackling enemy waves in Anime Vanguards.

What are the best units to use in Anime Vanguards?

1) Alocard (Vampire King)

Alocard, the vampire based on Alucard from Hellsing, is one of the best units in Anime Vanguards. He is known for his incredible support and offensive capabilities.

This unit’s area of effect is massive, his damage is quite high, and his support ability causes the leading enemy unit to take 20% more damage. Furthermore, he can apply bleed to the attacked enemy, stacking even more damage over time.

These factors elevate Alocard to the absolute pinnacle of the game, making him a mainstay in nearly all team setups.

2) Haruka Rin (Dancer)

Haruka Rin is a free unit that can be obtained upon reaching level 30 of the limited-time battlepass. When evolved, this character can be an incredible support unit, boosting every ally unit’s range within her effective area. Moreover, your team will get an extra 18% damage (3% per wave) and 10% range by having Haruka Rin (Dancer) on the field.

The unit's performance rivals premium support characters, making her a must-run for any setup in the game.

3) Song Jinwu (Monarch)

Song Jinwu is a Mythic unit that has one of the highest DPS ratings in the game when paired with Igros (Elite Knight). His effectiveness is rather limited when he's on his own, but luckily, Igros is also a top-tier unit who makes this character's restrictions manageable.

Song Jinwu can apply a permanent 25% damage buff to himself and Igros after killing a certain number of enemies, rendering them a force to be reckoned with.

Additionally, he boosts his own damage per takedown up to a maximum damage boost of 40%. If you have both Song Jinwu (Monarch) and Igros (Elite Knight), you can kill most enemies in the game with incredible ease.

4) Igros (Elite Knight)

Igros (Elite Knight) has a massive AoE attack and incredible synergy with Song Jinwu (Monarch). This Secret unit is less dependent on the latter than the other way around, covering the latter’s weaknesses but showcasing none of his own. He also boosts Song Jinwu’s damage, improving his already absurd damage.

Igros’ role in a solitary setting is to inflict heavy damage on multiple enemies with his high offensive stats. He is also immune to stun, which can simplify many gimmick stages that employ the status effect.

5) Cha-In (Blade Dancer)

Cha-In covers a massive area with her attack, is immune to stun, can perform critical hits, and can dodge and counter enemy attacks. Her incredibly well-rounded kit and decent stats make her a reliable option for nearly any team setup.

Her damage isn’t as high as Song Jinwu's, and she's not as effective as Alocard; however, she is the best jack-of-all-trades in the game.
