The newest banners introduced five new summonable units, which are available in the exclusive Summer banner in the hub world. Additionally, players can enjoy eight brand-new skins that can be accessed from the Summer capsules.

Test these units and skins out in the game’s Story, Challenge, Infinite, Portal, and Raid modes, and aim to complete the Summer Event quests. Event features

• Five new units: Players can summon on the event-exclusive banner for a chance at one of the four new Mythic characters: Scarlet Mage, String Warlord, Surgeon of Death, and The Last Great Mage. A Limited Summer Token can be used instead of Seashells to summon on this banner. Shadow, a Secret unit, is obtainable by completing all Summer Event quests.
• Unit Awakenings: Upon obtaining the new units, they can undergo evolution through certain items for a major power boost. These include Fluffy Wings, String Warlords Goggles, Just a Simple Mask, and Ancient Artifact. They can be purchased using Seashells in the Summer Event Shop.
• Summer Event Shop: In addition to the unit Awakening items, the Summer Event Shop also holds Tropical Portals and Summer Capsule. Tropical Portals give you access to special stages that can be farmed for Seashells and other enticing rewards. The Summer Capsule has a chance to spawn Shadow, the Secret unit in this update.
• Tropical Portals: A new portal type called Tropical Portals can be purchased from the Event Shop for 1,000 Emeralds. These are challenging new stages that can be completed for various rewards.

Clearing the Tropical Summer Portal Quest

The new limited Summer portals, dubbed Tropical Portals, give you access to a brand-new map and hordes of enemies to fight. Available in five tiers, these portals are designed to be a challenge for all players. Tier 5, in particular, can mow down even the most seasoned players within seconds.

This becomes even more complicated if you’re attempting to clear all Event Quests for the Secret unit. One of these quests requires you to beat a Tier 4 or higher Tropical Portal with three or fewer units. This is doable, albeit with a select few setups.

We recommend using heavy damage-dealing units like Hero Hunter and Green Esper in tandem with Businessman Yojin while attempting to finish the Quest. Place your main damage dealer close to the enemy spawn and position Businessman Yojin far away.

Once you have upgraded both units sufficiently, add Green Esper to the mix and watch the two damage dealers shred the enemy hordes.

The idea behind this strategy is to earn as much money as possible with Businessman Yojin to hasten your upgrade speed. Hero Hunter and Green Esper will handle the damage-dealing aspect near the enemy spawn, making short work of the opposition in no time. Even the final boss will fall prey to their onslaught, giving you a comfortable win.

Clearing the Summer Event Secret Quest in Anime Last Stand

Inspired by Cid Kagenou, Shadow can be obtained for free by completing seven Quests listed in the Events tab. Due to their RNG-heavy nature, it is recommended to take your time tackling each mission.

Here’s a complete list of Quests required to obtain the brand-new Secret unit:

• Complete 100 Tropical Paradise Portals (Any Tier): Can be accessed by purchasing Tropical Portals from the Summer Event Shop.
• Find the bottle of Beads of Diablos: Spawns inside a tower on the Tropical Portal map.
• Obtain all new Summer Mythics: Available in the Summer Event banner.
• Evolve any two of the four new Summer Mythics: Evolution items can be purchased from the Summer Event Shop.
• Complete 500 waves with at least one other player: Play Tropical Portal with another player and defeat 500 waves in total.
• Beat a Tropical Paradise Tier 4+ Portal with only 3 units (Solo): Complete the Tropical Paradise map at Tier 4 or higher difficulty with only three units in your party without another player’s help.
• Summon 1,000 units from any banner: Perform 1,000 summons on any banner.
• Complete all Summer Event Quests: Finish all quests to receive the Secret unit.
