Anime Last Stand is a tower defense game where you use characters inspired by some of the most iconic animanga series'. The latest update added World 2 into the mix, bringing you a brand-new banner, new units, a story mode, quests, and more. World 2 takes the difficulty up a notch in this game while also making the new units powerful enough to handle everything with ease.
Here’s what you need to know about World 2, how to access it, and how to approach clearing stages in it.
Everything you need to know about World 2 in Anime Last Stand
Accessing World 2
You can access World 2 by walking into the golden halo in the hub world. Before doing so, you must complete a trial that acts as a progress check for your units. This challenge can be accessed through the aforementioned halo.
The trial is set on a hellish map, where 20 waves of strong enemies will launch their assault. You must use your units to mount a defense and prevent the assailants from succeeding. The stage has the Barebones challenge applied, which gives each enemy bonus health and attack damage.
Prevail, and the second world will be yours to explore.

World 2 banner and currency
World 2 introduces a new currency that can exclusively be farmed through its game modes. This currency, dubbed Jewels, can be used to summon on the world-specific banner and obtain the newest units. One of the shiniest additions to the game is the introduction of the Godly rarity, making it the highest rarity.
The banner, dubbed Banner 3, includes 15 new towers, including one Ultimate and two new Celestial rarity units. These characters are powerful enough to handle nearly anything in the world.
Each summon on Banner 3 costs 50 Jewels, with a 10x Multi Summon requiring 500 Jewels. The Jewel threshold is decreased by 20% for VIP members, who can perform single and multi summons for 40 and 400 Jewels each, respectively.
Story Mode and Elemental Caverns
The Story Mode is the bread and butter of the experience, where you can band together with friends to clear various stages. It features three new areas with six levels each, offering three difficulty options: Normal, Nightmare, and Purgatory. The higher the difficulty, the better the rewards.
Each area has an endless version as well, which can be unlocked after clearing every other level. Go up against a never-ending onslaught of foes to see how far you can go and earn rewards based on your progress.
The game also includes the Elemental Caverns, which include additional stages that mix up the standard tower defense formula. It introduces the Guardian Crystal, which acts as a bonus HP pool for the opponent team. Defeating it applies a health debuff to the entire enemy lineup, reducing their health pool by 25%.
There are five Elemental Caverns to spelunk in, with each cavern offering different rewards. You must face 30 waves of enemies that become progressively stronger but have exploitable weaknesses as well.
Here’s a list of all caverns, along with the units that deal bonus damage and those that are not as effective in battle:
- Cavern of Fire: Water units deal 3x damage, while Nature units deal 0.33x damage.
- Cavern of Water: Nature units deal 3x damage, while Fire units deal 0.33x damage.

Quests
Quests are a staple of Anime Last Stand, and they are back in World 2. Complete various quests to earn in-game rewards like Jewels, Emeralds, and other resources. You can complete various Daily, Weekly, Infinite, Challenge mode, and Story mode challenges for this.
Some quests available in the World have a time limit, such as the Infinite quests. They must be completed before the timer runs out, or else they will disappear from the Quest list.
