Arcane Odyssey Empires Update: New abilities, islands, and more

Arcane Odyssey takes inspiration from massive open-world RPGs like Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. It currently makes continuous strides in development, with new updates bringing a ton of new elements. The latest one is the Empires update, which adds new islands, abilities, items, armor pieces, bosses, Clan Base Construction, and more.

New islands, minibosses, and magic reset

The Empires update adds nine new islands to Arcane Odyssey, giving you brand-new areas to explore and enemy archetypes to encounter. Five of these islands are in the Bronze Sea alone, so be sure to sail to this area and explore the new parts of the map. One island can be found on the Nimbus Sea, and the remaining three are named locations.

The first is Fort Castrum, a Ravenna fortress you can invade and loot for resources and items. Next is Shieldguard, a Grand Navy base in the Nimbus Sea. Lastly, you can find the Assassin Syndicate base, Makrinaos, also in the Nimbus Sea.

You can now dive underwater to find undiscovered underwater structures that spawn well below the sea floor layer in the Nimbus Sea. Dive deep to find Silver and Gold Chests, which have a small chance to apply the rare Abyssal modifier.

Earn the Abyss Diver badge and title upon clearing such structures. Note that you may encounter sharks and other sea monsters while exploring such areas, so caution is advised.

A new feature pertaining to magic is the ability to reset your first or second magic. Find Hecate Essence at the fringes of the Dark Sea for the same. Note that this ability can be used and reused an unlimited number of times, so long as you can find Hecate Essence.

Four new minibosses have been added to Arcane Odyssey. You can find and take them on in battle with your Clan or on your own for unique spoils and benefits. One of these bosses can be found at Fort Castrum in the Bronze Sea, known as General Valerii.

Clan Base Construction and Building Tool

The newest feature added to the Clan system is Clan Base Construction. This lets you claim an island as a Clan member and use the Building Tool to create structures and place decorative items. The Building Tool is central to this feature, being the very foundation upon which the construction elements hinge.

With the tool, you can place defensive measures, create your own armory, and turn on Team Building for other members to make changes. If you’re of the co-leaders or a higher rank, you can save your creation to the Clan save slot to be used by all Clan members.

The Empires update adds an array of new abilities, armor pieces, spells, and other items to Arcane Odyssey. These are listed below:

Twenty-seven new obtainable items in chests.
Array and Cannon spells.
Blitz, a rare technique.
Soaring Eagle, a dual-bladed weapon skill.
Three Dark Sea exclusive armor sets: Sophragos, Dromeas, and Diatrys.
Lost Envoy and Lost Diplomat rare armor sets. Obtainable from treasure chests.
Rusty, an uncommon armor set.
Godly Nectar can be looted to brew Elysium Potions, which allow you to teleport to or buy a private server.
Colossal Greatsword with the Colossal Cleave unique skill.

Other changes and bug fixes are listed below:

New secondary effects for jewels that increase the potency of powerups and duration of status effects.
Elysium server access system revamp.
Level 140 or higher NPCs can use rare spells and techniques.
Bosses and high-level NPCs have a chance to massively increase their size, damage, and attack effects through the supercharge mechanic.
High-level NPCs can drop rare or higher-rarity treasure charts.
Minibosses and high-level NPCs have a dedicated HP bar display.
Players in clans with 25,000 infamy points or more are placed on a server with other infamous clans.
Grand Navy and Assassin Syndicate members can create subclans after reaching 600,000 renown.
Implemented Clan Tax, allowing guild leaders to earn a percentage of gold earned by the members. The taxed amount is directly added to the Clan treasury.
Clan logos and colors are now fully customizable using Galleons.
Rank permissions UI has been added to clan UI.
Various visual improvements.
You can choose which sleeve of your armor is visible at any time.
Luck Potion has been revamped to affect fewer items.
New luck boosts have been implemented based on the Luck Potion’s tier.
Fixed an issue that prevents Invisibility potions from triggering aggression from Atlanteans and Sirens.
Dark Sealed Chests now have improved drop rates.
You can earn 10 Galleons for each note appraisal you receive.
Unique titles implemented based on milestones achieved: Wordsmith, Scribe, Scholar, Sage, and Philosopher.
New Fighter animation pack game pass.
Ship respawns closer to your location upon death.
Various bug fixes, optimizations, and gameplay improvements.
