This guide walks you through this simple matchmaking game, giving you a thorough exploration of its mechanics.
Getting started in Balloon Pop
Overview
Balloon Pop sorts players into two groups based on their chosen genders. Upon starting the game, players will be asked to vote for either a CPU Host or one of the Robloxians to play the role. The Host acts as a mediator between the participating parties, ensuring everyone plays fairly and does not act out of line.
Once the Host is chosen, one of the groups will be given balloons, while the other will initiate the conversation. Based on how the conversation goes, the balloon group can choose to pop their balloons, ending the chat and returning them to the lobby. Conversely, if the conversation hits off, players can continue to chat and see how their interests align.
Since socializing is a core part of the game, it is recommended to use either the in-game chat feature or the microphone for communication. It should be noted that this game is for entertainment purposes and does not act as a substitute for proper social interaction.

Gameplay Features
- Picking a Host: You can choose to pick a human Host or a CPU Host through voting. The CPU Host follows a script and is not particularly effective at making the chat session more engaging. Human hosts are usually better, but that can vary from one person to the next. The option that gets the most votes is chosen to be the Host.
- Rounds: The game has a round-based format, where players from both groups interact with each other. Each round lasts 100 seconds, after which all remaining players are sent back to the lobby.
- Balloons: Every player is introduced one by one, with the group without the balloons being introduced first. Once the conversation starts, the players with the balloons have the option of popping theirs and ending the round prematurely. To do so, hover your cursor over the Pop prompt and press the Left Mouse Button.
- In-game Shop: You can purchase various items from the in-game shop, including Balloons, Emotes, Nametags, Gamepasses, Bundles, and more. Some items require you to spend Balloon Coins, the in-game currency, while others can only be bought using Robux. You can obtain Balloon Coins by playing through the rounds normally or purchasing them via Robux.
