Blox Fruits lets you explore a world inspired by One Piece, train to become a powerful Pirate, and fight nefarious forces to thwart their plans. Exploration forms a large part of the game’s experience, and the best way to do so as a Pirate is to commandeer a seafaring vessel. While out on the sea, your boat will require frequent repairs, and there is no better way to mend your float than the Shipwright subclass.
This guide explores the ship-repairing Shipwright and gives you directions to obtaining it in Blox Fruits.
About the Shipwright subclass in Blox Fruits
The primary role of a Shipwright is not a combat-centric one; rather, the subclass is the designated mechanic of the game. A Shipwright player can gather more resources and mend broken ships with their abilities. Its place as a utility subclass makes it unique among other battle-focused options, creating a lore-friendly experience for those who favor immersion above combat.
Repairs transition you into a mini-game, where you must push and hold the Repair button and release it once it reaches the green bar. This will repair the ship and grant it extra HP for perfect execution. As a bonus, you will receive an HP boost for a well-executed repair once only.
You can level up the Shipwright class by chopping trees, collecting Wooden Planks, and using them to repair a boat. Its level-ups are similar to the Mastery system, where the more you use a particular ability, the faster you gain relevant XP.
Shipwrights have access to five unique skills, three of which can be upgraded multiple times after acquiring them. These abilities include Repair, Plank Scavenger, Blueprint Specialist, Hull Mechanic, and Heavy Hammer.
Here’s what these abilities can accomplish:
- Repair: Allows you to collect Wooden Planks from trees and use them to repair ships. Restores 10 Ship HP per plank.
- Plank Scavenger: This gives you a chance to obtain multiple planks when cutting down a tree. Can be upgraded up to version III, which gives you a 90% chance of getting three Wooden Planks.
- Blueprint Specialist: Let you mend boats with planks. Can be upgraded up to version III, allowing you to restore 30 HP at once.
- Hull Mechanic: Let you repair Boats for additional max HP in the Ship minigame. Can be upgraded to version II for +8 to your max HP.
- Heavy Hammer: Prevents stuns from affecting your repairs.
Upgrades require Valor and Fragments to purchase. Valor can be earned by completing various maritime events and challenges.
