Breathing Styles are a central mechanic in Demonfall, being the primary ability sets for Slayer characters. These are directly inspired by the breathing arts featured in the manga and anime series, Demon Slayer. Primarily, they boost the player character’s effectiveness with their main weapon.

Slayer characters can unlock Breathing Styles by approaching a style’s master and giving them the required items.

Each Breathing Style has a level, item, and prestige requirement to fulfill, and you can only have one Breathing Style active at a time. That said, you can switch to a different style by resetting it with a Breath Indict item, so feel free to experiment.

Once you unlock a style, you gain access to its various skills, each of which can be executed with a single button press. The button prompt required to activate them is visible on the screen at all times.

As their names suggest, a Breathing Style depends on the total concentration breathing gauge. To fill it up, use the Breathe mechanic at regular intervals by pressing and holding G. Once the gauge is full, use it up to activate the skill and unleash the move.

Note that Breathing Styles require skill points to max out their special ability sets. Most of them require over 60 skill points to fully complete, so make sure to raise your level cap to 100 through Prestige Rank 10.
