Hybrids is the third playable race in Demonfall, the Demon Slayer-inspired Roblox experience. As the name suggests, it is an amalgamation of the qualities of Slayers and Demons, making it the best of both worlds. Since the characters originate as Slayers, becoming a Hybrid is a long and arduous road.
If you’ve just started playing this title, you may not know about this race. This faction is highly effective in combat, offering unique skills that combine the strengths of both Demons and Slayers.
This guide explores everything about Hybrids, how they work, and the Breathing Styles they have access to in Demonfall.
An overview of Hybrids in Demonfall
Demonfall’s iteration of Hybrids stays true to the series’ lore. It requires the player to be a Slayer who has cast away their humanity to become a mixture of their former and demon selves. As a master of a Breathing Style, their combat abilities receive a Demon-flavored alteration.
Becoming a Hybrid entails climbing to Level 50 or higher and offering five Muzan Blood vials to Kokushibo. For your combat abilities to change, you must also have Thunder, Flame, or Water Breathing as your mastered Breathing Style.
Upon giving the vials to Kokushibo and choosing to become a Hybrid, your level will be cut in half and your skill points will be refunded. Your avatar’s appearance will also be overhauled to reflect your new demonic nature.
In addition to these cosmetic changes, the game gives you access to the Demon Skill Tree, giving your base stats a significant boost. As you continue to level up and reach 50 again, you gain the Moon Breathing Style, one of the most powerful skill sets in the game.
That said, you lose certain things and gain debuffs as a Hybrid that you did not have to worry about as a Slayer. This includes the following:
- Sustain burn damage under the sunlight.
- Gain weakness to Wisteria Trees.
- Lose access to Sun and Wind Breathing Styles.
- Higher skill point requirement for maxing the skill tree out.
- Slayer Marks no longer activate as a Hybrid.

Hybrid Breathing Styles in Demonfall
If you master Water, Thunder, or Flame Breathing before becoming a Hybrid, you will receive demonic variations of these styles. The evolved forms of these styles are Crimson Water Breathing, Dark Thunder Breathing, and Blue Flame Breathing. From a lore standpoint, these styles have been infused with Blood Demon Arts to enhance them.
While these seem different from regular Water, Thunder, and Flame Breathing Styles, they don’t function differently from their original counterparts. They do receive visual overhauls that reflect your new demonic nature, with darker smear effects replacing the existing ones.
The biggest upgrade you receive as a Hybrid is the Moon Breathing Style, a direct counter to Sun and Flame Breathing. Since these are two of the most powerful Breathing Styles in the game, Hybrids can be effective as an anti-meta combat faction.
Moreover, this style comes with high defensive capabilities that make it worth grinding to high Prestige levels. At Prestige rrank 10 and Level 100 with stat upgrades from the Demon skill tree, Moon Breathing is one of the most formidable ability sets in Demonfall.
