Escape Running Head is a horror experience where you must navigate a maze without being caught by gigantic Felipe heads. As the player, you are tasked with reaching a button embellished with the icon of the sun at the other end of the maze.

Heads are menacing figures in this experience, being agile, relentless, and generally terrifying. These enemies don’t adhere to a particular size; rather, each of them can be large enough to block hallways or small enough to be a nuisance.

Read through this article for a comprehensive look at the first stage of Escape Running Head. If you are struggling with how its mechanics function, this guide will help you ease into the gameplay flow.

Before dashing through the first stage, it’s important to remember that your avatar will be able to jump over the small-sized heads. You must find a way to maneuver around the large ones to succeed, something that is succinctly explained in the following set of instructions.

Here is how you can clear the first stage of this running experience:

  • Align yourself with the green arrow at the beginning of the level and drop down.
  • Climb the ladder marked in red by walking against it.
  • Dash through the opening in the translucent wall and turn right.
  • Continue to bolt through and jump over the Felipe heads until you reach yet another right turn. Note that you can briefly stand over these heads without dying.
  • Approach the red staircases, climb over them, and drop down into the hallway.
  • Run towards the left and continue following the path. Beware the enemy heads that litter the corridor.
  • Continue following the path while avoiding heads until you reach an open area with gray stairs. Ignore them and run towards a tiny opening that can be seen to the right of the stairs.
  • You will see red staircases. Climb them and run over the button at the center. This is a checkpoint and dying from this point forth will reset your position to the button.
  • After reaching the checkpoint, the path becomes completely linear. Simply rush through the following section while avoiding the heads and climb the next set of stairs.
  • Before rushing into the next section, note that there is a massive Felipe head hiding behind the pillar. The best way to avoid it is to approach from the left to bait it and then dart towards the right when it begins its approach.
  • Get to the next set of stairs and climb up to reach the next checkpoint. Remain cognizant of an open gap in the middle of the stairs, which will lead to instant death by a Felipe head.
  • Continue running through the section to reach the final checkpoint and teleport to the next stage.

Escape Running Head offers a unique twist on the horror genre by pitting you up directly against the primary threat of the game. While most experiences opt to use their killers sparingly, this game has no qualms littering each map with them.

The main objective of the title is to reach the end of each maze whilst avoiding Felipe heads. Coming in contact with these disembodied entities results in a swift death, sending you back to the last checkpoint. Of course, this makes them rather threatening since there is no way to combat them directly during the early levels.

Currently, the game features no less than 12 stages, along with boss levels to shake up the formula.
