Garden Defense is a tower defense-style game where heroic Plants fend off the undead. Plants are the towers of this experience, defending your home against the onslaught of the zombies. Your objective is to strategically place them along the path of the walking dead and halt their approach. Progress through the game to unlock all 20 units and conquer every foe that wishes to take over your home.

If you’re familiar with tower defense-style games, Garden Defense will be an easy Roblox experience to learn. This plant-themed experience is all about using the inhabitants of the titular Garden to keep undead enemies at bay. For this, you are allotted a fixed amount of Cash at the beginning of each round.

Cash is used to place and upgrade your units. It can be earned by defeating zombies. The more powerful a unit, the more expensive it will be to place and upgrade. Conversely, less powerful units are cheaper and require fewer resources to upgrade. This also means that you will be able to deploy a lot more of them on the field and cover more ground in the process.

Depending on the game mode, the match will end once you’ve either defeated all enemies or your home has been successfully invaded and destroyed.

The game uses standard Roblox controls for movement and interaction, considering it is mostly about resource management and using the interface during combat.

Garden-based Tower Defense: The overall gameplay systems of this experience are fairly standard; you use Cash to deploy units and defeat enemies. Enemies make their assault in waves, with minibosses being peppered throughout the stage. Your units can be upgraded multiple times to maximize their battle prowess, which becomes crucial in lengthier stages. Upon completing a stage, you earn Gems, XP, and other rewards.
Plant-based Units: There are over a dozen different types of units that can be obtained in this game. Depending on the type of unit you use, your experience with the game’s stages can vary rather drastically. Some specialize in heavily damaging enemies through a barrage of attacks, while others lean into the support role instead.
Gems: Gems are the main currency of this game and can be used to obtain units and other resources. They can be obtained through stage or Quest completion, which makes them easily accessible.
Stages: Each stage is uniquely configured to challenge the player’s party in different ways. At the beginning of a match, you have the option of choosing the difficulty to customize your experience with the stage. The higher the difficulty, the better the rewards. You can start a stage by walking into the designated area in the hub world and clicking the Start button once you and your friends are ready.
Endless Mode: In addition to the normal stages, the game also includes Endless Mode. This stage is all about facing a never-ending onslaught of enemies, giving you plenty of resources for surviving as long as you can. The objective of this mode isn’t to conquer it; rather, it is to see how many waves of enemies you eliminate before your base is overrun.
