Fighting Styles are a major part of Grand Piece's combat system. Taking cues from One Piece, the game implements a robust fighting mechanic that is second only to the supremely powerful Devil Fruits. Offering high attack power and decent stat requirement, a Fighting Style can be a fantastic way to tackle much of the early and mid-game.

Curious about styles and their effectiveness in combat? Here’s everything you need to know about them.

Fighting Styles are primarily based on the player's physical power and are obtained through training. These grant you various moves that land devastating hits on the enemy. Because of their physical nature, Fighting Styles scale based on the player’s Strength stat, making them suitable for pure Strength and Strength-Fighting Style Mastery hybrid builds.

The more points you invest in stat paths, the more effective your combat ability will become. Increasing your Strength stat directly affects the damage you deal, while putting points into the Fighting Style Mastery path will affect race-specific styles like Fishman Karate.

Certain Fighting Styles make use of melee weapons like swords, which increase your range and deal more damage with the Sword Mastery stat.

While lacking the superhuman abilities and overwhelming combat power of Devil Fruits, Fighting Styles stack up fairly well against the elusive fruits, nonetheless. They are easier to obtain since you don’t need to rely on RNG to get the desired style. Moreover, some Fighting Styles are arguably better for certain races because they play into the faction’s inherent strengths.

Overall, investing in Fighting Styles is a worthwhile endeavor despite the hefty stat investment needed to unleash their potential. Use them either as mainstays or as placeholders until you collect a high-rarity Devil Fruit.
