In Type Soul, Quincies have the ability to wield Schrift, a combat ability that enhances your avatar’s battle prowess. It is similar to Soul Reapers’ Shikai in that it alters the properties of your moves while adding a couple of skills to your moveset. The ability is an essential part of a Quincy's repertoire, making it important to snag it at the earliest.

Getting Schrift requires you to complete a somewhat long quest that can take about an hour to complete, depending on your luck and skill. To access this quest, you must fulfill the following prerequisites:

• Become a Quincy
• Reach Grade 2

You can quickly reach Grade 2 by marathoning a few quests, giving you the necessary XP to climb the ranks. With both of these requirements fulfilled, teleport to Wandenreich Castle to start the quest.

Climb to the top of Wandenreich Castle, speak to the NPC Balance, and reply with Yes. After that, climb down and find the winged Worshipper Statue close to the castle grounds.

Upon doing so, you will be tasked with killing a particular number of five different enemy types. These include the following:

• 2x Adjucha NPCs or Players
• 5x Arrancar Players
• 15x Fishbone NPCs
• 5x Menos NPCs
• 5x Shinigami Players

While there is no quest tracker interface, you can check your progress by interacting with the statue. Note that the quest does not require you to fulfil its objectives in a particular order.

Once you’ve killed the specified enemies, return to the Worshipper Statue to receive one of the five Schrift Types.

The Schrift type you receive is chosen randomly. Certain types are rarer than others.

There is no way to influence the chosen Schrift, which makes it a bit of a gamble if you’re looking for a specific type. Since they are segregated by rarity, some of these ability types are significantly more difficult to obtain than others.

There’s a 3% chance of a Legendary Schrift being assigned to you, while Rare and Common types have a 10% and an 87% chance, respectively. Each of these adds new abilities to your move list, allowing you to perform powerful techniques and decimate your opponents.
