Anime Vanguards, the tower defense game that takes inspiration from anime, includes many units based on iconic animanga characters. One of the rarest of these is Alocard, a Secret unit based on the famous vampire from Hellsing, Alucard. Alocard is one of the most powerful characters in the game, but because of his rarity, he is also one of the most elusive.

Alocard is a summonable unit that can be obtained by visiting the Summon area You can use Gems to try to get him after reaching level 10. Being a Secret unit, he is not featured prominently on the banner but is in the summon pool like the other characters.

Currently, there are only two Secret units, the other being Igros. Both of these characters have an astronomically low pull rate, which is what makes them incredibly difficult to get. Putting a number to the pull rate, you have a one in 25,000 chance to get either of these units while performing a summon.

What makes him even more challenging to obtain is that the banner pity system does not apply to him. The pity system is exclusive to Legendary and Mythic units, where performing a certain number of summons guarantees the character. Because of this, Alocard will require thousands upon thousands of Gems to obtain.

You can use Lucky and Ultra Lucky boosts to offset these odds somewhat, but even then, getting the character will be difficult.

Alocard is the pre-evolution state of his final form, Alocard (Vampire King). If you obtain the unit, we recommend evolving him immediately since the Vampire King is in contention for being the best character in the game. He makes clearing any stage a child’s play, with a DPS of 391.96 and a damage rating of 2,531.75 at max upgrade level. You need 2,000 Yen to deploy him and he has 11 upgrade states.

This character can inflict the Bleed status ailment by default. This will deal 25% of the damage he inflicts. Furthermore, after the 10th upgrade, the Vampire King can passively apply the Wounded status effect to the enemies surrounding the bleeding mob. Wounded increases the affected entity’s defenses, causing them to receive 20% more damage.

The 11th upgrade state grants him the Restraint: Level 0 ability, which summons six Ghouls and four Masked Ghouls. These ghouls act as temporary party members, reducing their master’s SPA by 10%. If they die, Alocard boosts his damage by 1% per dead Ghoul up to a maximum of 35%.

These abilities, combined with his ludicrously high damage output and low cooldown, make Alocard a contender for the top spot in the game.
