Based on a character in the YouTube short video, KJ’s Final Ride, Stealth is a powerful fighter in KJ Arena with the ability to take on any combat role. Their moveset focuses on being effective in all ranges. This affords the character a degree of technical depth that is not seen with the others.

Stealth possesses a normal attack string (M1s) that ends in a knockback, creating an opening for a special move. They can also perform a unique combo when pinning an opponent against a wall, throwing them to the side at the end. While the wall combo does not pair as effectively with special moves as their regular M1s, it can function well as a combo ender.

Stealth's moveset includes the following special moves:

  • Footwork Tornado: Devastate the enemy with a whirlwind of kicks that draws them into the attack.
  • Devastating Cut: Move faster than the eye can see to slash the opponent multiple times.
  • Devastating Cut (Variant): Add a finishing slash to the normal Devastating Cut by pressing the special move button again.
  • Whirlwind Kick: Leap high into the air and dropkick the enemy for AoE damage. Cannot be blocked.
  • Detonant Shuriken: Throw a shuriken at the opponent, which explodes upon hit. Has limited tracking.

Footwork Tornado and Devastating Cut can function as combo enders after M1s, which makes them a part of the character’s bread-and-butter combos. Whirlwind Kick is a strictly medium-range move, making it a great tool to catch opponents off-guard. Lastly, Detonant Shuriken has high sniping potential and does decent damage on hit.

Landing these special moves fills up your Ultimate gauge. When it is completely filled, you can use G on your keyboard to activate the Ultimate mode. Dubbed the Spiral Rush, the move triggers a short cutscene, transforming you into a spiral of purple energy. The transformation causes a massive AoE knockback as well, making it a great way to control space.

Once the cutscene ends, you have full vertical and horizontal control of the purple energy. Use your mouse to control it and target the opponent for a devastating hit. Furthermore, the move is unblockable and causes a short hit animation to play when it lands. Once the move lands, your Ultimate bar depletes and the character’s moveset will return to default.

Stealth also gains a unique variant of Spiral Rush if performed next to a King fighter. This variation changes the lightning effect on the move, creating a red and purple spiral storm around the fighter. The move can be used up to two times per awakening bar.

Tips for using Stealth in KJ Arena

Stealth is a great fighter at every range, but they shine particularly brightly in close range. Their tools allow you to control the space and close the gap effectively, with Whirlwind Kick and Detonant Shuriken being the primary tools for the same. Dealing hefty damage with them is a matter of utilizing these tools at the opportune moment.

At close range, you can combine M1s with Footwork Tornado for a quick combo or extend it by using the ordinary variation of Devastating Cut. Because of the number of possible unique interactions with their various moves, Stealth benefits from labbing in a private server against a dummy.

Stealth's Ultimate Mode is slow to build up but is worth the payoff once you do manage to land enough specials. Spiral Rush makes Stealth incredibly difficult to interrupt for the opponent and since the move is only susceptible to counters, it is nearly unstoppable. The Ultimate is essentially a hefty chunk of damage that you can inflict at nearly no cost, making it a great match-ender.

Easy to use and difficult to master — that is the gist of Stealth, which is what makes them worth practicing. The character has high damage potential with their numerous combo routes, and mastering them makes them nigh-unstoppable.
